Testing Interest in Garage Tour/Cruise October 13

Webby has Oct 27 listed as the next likely central Indiana cruise date, so I don't want to take away from his attendance, but we discussed serving this item up as an interim event if there is interest in two for October. (actually 3 counting a Ferrari only gathering in Ft. Wayne)

Anyway, Tim D with all the black cars including a Porsche CGT and Bugatti Veyron has been wanting to run with us, but his schedule is packed. He is however open on Oct 13 and we thought we would start at his place in Indianapolis with a garage tour. We need to figure out what to do after that but figure a nice drive, maybe lunch. I checked the big Kart track in New Castle but they have a race that day so we can't race there, so a Kart outing maybe later in the season.

So...Who is up to cruising with a Veyron on October 13th?

 

Ha, what are the chances of that! Those things must be a dime a dozen.

This thing is a go. Meeting soon with Tim to plan a route for the cruise. Starting the garage tour at 10 AM up on so we don't kill the whole day. This is on the north side of Indy, Geist area.

You guys don't want to miss this. I had a sneak preview yesterday while making arrangements for this event. There is something for everyone in this collection, antique, classic sports cars and modern exotics, including several Italians.

Day will start at 10 AM, here is a cut and paste from Tim with prelim details:

The drive thru the rural countryside looks like a good route for the area just touching the outskirts of the above mentioned towns, and should be about 100 miles.

 

I got a few questions about the address. FYI I suggested we meet some place close and drive to the garage as a group to facilitate privacy, but Tim said just meet here and threw his address on another site himself, thus the open invitation. Not quite like the LifeLoc guy, but I guess he has faith in his physical, electronic, human and canine security and I'm sure he knows what he is doing.

With several events within 100 miles this month it's a good time to be in the Midwest. Hope the weather hold up for all the outings!

A couple other things. The reception after the drive will be a casual affair, not "West Coast" as some questioned. What ever you comfortably drive in will be fine.

Brian F (05DaytonaC6) is sales mngr at Ed Martin Cadillac GMC in Anderson. He has offered their business as a pit stop location during the lap so we can reassemble there if we get strung out, hit the restrooms, etc... before rolling back south, so we'll plan on doing that.

 

Bring some with you from your Ft Wayne gathering tomorrow. Added Steve H to the list with his silver 355 spyder, plus Debbie's 360 spyder, and possibly Tami with her 308QV. If all of you show up, 50% of the Ferraris present will be lady owned.

 

Reminder bump for this Saturday. Put it on the calander before you get roped into antiquing or picking out paint colors.

Where's all the Ft Wayne guys? This is practically in your neighborhood.
