don't buy it, give me the guy's info and i will buy it. good luck with it buddy, don't hold it too long.
do you see me giving advice? btw, how many do you currently own (and your wife's don't count)? something like an armchair quarterback thing...
That must have been one heck of a drive back. I would be perfectly happy driving the speed limit. That would just be neat to drive on the road.
I don't think it's being nasty, but the fact is that you say you are being offered a car for well below market price. If you can do it, it's a no-brainer. That's what you were asking, and there's your answer. As for whether you were to keep it or not, obviously the car is beginning to fall in value as more come to the market. How long should you hang on to it? Only you can answer that. Every month you keep it, it probably loses a bit in value, so you have to figure out how much it's worth to you to keep the car. How quickly it will depreciate, nobody can predict.
man i need to get into the business of buying cars and selling them. I wish my vendors would come back to me and offer to charge me LESS money
If there is no story on this car , and if you dont like it , then you will not be buying a $300k car. You will just invest $300k on a short term product with a potential of making 30c on the dollar in maybe as little as a week .
Uh, because I was trying to be helpful and respond to your question (yes, you should buy it, and no, nobody can tell you what the value of the car is going to be moving forward, i.e. precisely when you should sell). Don't worry, it's not something I'll do again.
But you told me nothing. You pretty much said hey......I have no answer for you and its your call. Like going to the doctor and saying Dr. I don't feel well, what do I do, and he says well......only you can answer why your sick. I created this thread FOR HELP.....by posting "well there are no answers and no brainers".....where is the help?
Your asking for "help" is not making any sense. What is so difficult to comprehend about buying a 599 for $300k (if true) and driving to the nearest Ferrari dealer who would gladly give you a $420k check on the spot?
Again, let me reiterate my situation. I have never flipped cars before. All of the cars that i have had Ipurchased to use and enjoy. So when i am given an opportunity to purchase a car that I neither like nor want to drive, but aware that the deal I am getting is amazing, I reach out to those who know.......this would be you. And although many have been wonderful and helpful, others have been cynical. I just, again, don't get you guys. And just to let you know I take offense to the (if true) statement.
where in rockland county are you? I hardly ever see exotics around and Rockland isnt that big. Most of my clients live in Piermont and the Palisades....not too many exotics there as well.... ...not doubting...just curious.
Why do you take offense to "doubts" by those of us who own these cars or know their market intimately? Selling such car at the price you quoted simply does not make any sense and is impossible to explain.(unless the car is being marketed by a jilted or cheated on wife seeking revenge on her Ferrari driving husband).
Hey....you can't miss me. I drive the murci everyday when its not raining, up and down the palisades. Gte breakfast, go food shopping. I am sure some of your clients must have seen me. I have the only yellow murci roadster in town. Iam in Pomona.....on top of the mountain.
Hey...maybe.......but it is what it is. Maybe I will find out months down the road a few kilos of coke hidden in the dash....or some other nightmare. But so far so good. Hey man...I know it's a bargain. Wide world wants 500k for theirs.
