Yes, I have the mold for the bonnet prepped by an F40 specialist in the UK.

Do you need a new bonnet, or are you after the mold itself? Its always worth holding onto the mould in the event of the unspeakable happening to ones pride and joy.

I have the molds to build a complete 288 GTO Evoluzione if you want.

Just needing the actual part....bonnet/bumper...preferably a one piece unit , but a two piece will do.

    Where are you located?

I am thinking of going with FG instead of CF, since it is easier for me to work with.

Hi Ron.....many thanks for the reply. The 288 GTO-E is an awesome car to say the least. Do you have one?

I may be interested in reproducing the back, doors, and sills, but will probably go with the highly modified F40 front as I will not be running the radiators up front...only the oil cooler, sump tank, and fuel cell.

    Regards

Hi Andrew.....Yes, I worked for Bruce Levin(Bayside Motorsports). When I was working with Bob Aiken and Whittington brothers I also bought Peter Gregg's 1980 factory 935 which was sold to Bayside before Bruce purchased the 962. Later I built my own 935LM from scratch which the new owner drove in the Walter Mitty and vintage series. I really liked the 935 over the 962 only because they resembled the street cars. It was always a pleasure to work with some really great driver teams for the 12 and 24hr endurance races..Al Holbert,Hurley Haywood,John Paul,Danny Ongais..etc.
I am not a racer...just an Engineer from the old days of IMSA and FIA. After working on all these exotic prototype cars I couldn't help but fall in love with them, and purchased them after they were no longer viable for the race series..lol. Sad to say, but after finally getting married and having children the toys were sold.

My new project(if I can find the time and money.lol. to get it goin) is a 355 with a tubular front and rear structure, removable rear mount so the engine can be removed out the back. Hopefully we can refabricate the a-arms,tie rods, and axles to increase the track width, along with moving the suspension points up, and the engine up and back "ala" long tail design, which is what we did on the LeMans Porches. Looking at a Michelleto center lock they did for the 348/355 cars and may fabricate our own if these items cannot be obtained.

Just doing the design on paper and CAD for now, along with acquiring the necessary parts. I am guessing this to be an 18 to 24 mth build time depending on how many of the parts we will have to build from scratch.

    Regards

Thanks Alex....I have added them to my contact list. This project is a pretty big undertaking and I will need all the help and support I can get.

I must add that Dave Helms at Scuderia Rampante has already provided some absolutely fantastic ideas.....Thanks Dave

The real F40 molds are here in Italy and parts are ordered through Ferrari,I live close buy to were the F40 was originally fabricated and have most of the F40 panels or parts available.
I cannot understand how these parts are made elsewhere! Owning the mold in Italy could mean prison for a private.
