That's a MUCH better time frame. Here's a few recommendations for the out-of-towners: - Fifth Avenue shopping, obviously, as well as SoHo. On Fifth, make sure you start near Rock Center and go all the way north! If you haven't passed 2 D&G stores, you've not gone far enough. - "Top of the Rock" and Rockefeller Center Tree is a great way to spend half the day. Try to get a table at the Rock Center Cafe "rink side" if you can. - FAO Schwarz (If you're coming with kids) Might want to hit the Toys 'R' Us in Times Square, too. - Union Square Market is an interesting collective of "stuff" for New York City. - I'd check the Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center calendars. Skip the very silly, stupidly dated, Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It is Christmas, but it's not spectacular. - Little Italy, for all it's over priced and over sauced restaurants, is actually kind of nice at Christmas time, too. Plus, it's always fun in Chinatown which is right next door. Lots of good restaurants, too, that you should think about. Lots of places downtown that I'd recommend. And one in Brooklyn, if you can believe that.
Great, thank you very much for the info. we decided to stay with some good friends on long island instead of a hotel! cant wait!
