ha ha, Vegas: the town of Cash is King! There must be a huge % of undeclared income down here. Haven't tried poker chips yet - but that'd probably work too. Just saw the silliest used car "advertisement" on TV ever: "The King of Cars" is 100x more bizarre in reality than the reality tv show. Animal House in 2007. /hijack == off
ha! that's the old Towbin dodge dealership -> www.kingofcars.com . they've got the most hilarious ads/sales tactics (some dude dressed up as a blue genie among others) and were the subject of an A&E documentary a couple years ago. If I were ever in Vegas, I'd definitely stop by just for the entertainment value. The cars of course are all pimped out dodges and NOT worth the trek!
me to! as long as its not to hard like phil said, lets leave it in the air for now, maybe start thinking of things in january or something..
I treasure my sleep in time...so it would probably be like a 12pm meeting time of some sort. Leaves enough time for coffee then a drive afterwards for those who dont like "car showing" all day long.
I will PM some of u guys - Lets move this s.)) and yeah , we have 7-8 month - enougt to figure out how its going to work
We pretty much have 7-8 months to set a spot, time, and day. Im still leaning towards Sunday late morning/early afternoon. Getting guys out should not be a problem. There are plenty of owners on here that will help us kick off the event. Im sure the first few events will be nothing big, but once word spreads, we should be alright. First thing we should start doing now is searching for a meet spot. I will be in Vancouver tommorow for an "experience"...I will take a quick drive around and see if I can find an interesting meet spot.
yeah i think 12 would be a good time, like meet have coffee, people check the cars out, then you can leave or go for a drive or something, but there should be a rule that each car must burn out when they leave maybe some where along the Vancouver waterfront would be good? but there must be some coffee close around.
haha that would be entertaining...but the event would get shut down so fast by the police and locals if that happened. At least one car from each meet would be cool It should be somewhere that has easy access out of the city. The cars dont want to have to spend 45mins treking through the city afterwards if they want to go for a drive. Suggestions for location are welcome.
I'll have navigation going into my Pathfinder next week. That should help me locate some areas in Vancouver that I dont go to very often. I will spend a full day in the next few weeks to find a good spot.
Let's try to keep this event pretty low key right now. I think it would be ok if 4-5 of us non owner F-chatters show up...but lets not invite half of a high school. This is for mostly owners and a few key enthusiest.
okay, there can be as much as you want, your the boss hear not me! do you relize because of this event some exotic car owners might let you drive there cars O_O!!
Thats not what I am expecting, nor is it the point of this event. I think Vancouver is lacking in exotic car events. Vancouver is suppose to be one of the "world class" cities with all these expensive houses and nice cars. The houses are there, but we really dont have much going on as far as exotic car events. The fathers day Ferrari show is pretty cool...but honestly its getting a bit old and boring. Something new and interesting each week or two with different and new people/cars showing up, should be fun.
