DAYUM!!! I wish I had a paparazzi photo of you to P-Shop onto this.......................... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Since his 2003 is worth $160K I will gladly sell my 2002 for $150K right now and it can be a 575, 575M, Maranello or whatever anybody wants to call it.
I could get used to the interior, but I wonder what color it is as it was a "paint to sample" order. It also has Fiorano Handling Package. No carbon option as stated in the listing, just the racing seats.
OMIGOD, I'm blind! I looked at the seats and rear deck! Aaaahhhh!!! Kind of odd this ended with no bids, eh? I would think any Modificata was worth this price. Heh, I would have gotten tan seat covers and then dyed the rear deck until I popped for a redo.
Exactamundo! This happens with high-end exotics. The original owner had more money than taste/brains. Must have been ordered by an athlete or entertainer.
Absurd. You are welcome to contact Penndot and check out the owners of all the 575s in the State. I'm right there for all to see. Since I never flame. Let me say you might be Ferrari "challanged'"
God forgive me. I almost never do this. YOU, SIR ARE A BLITHERING IDIOT! I am reading from the original MSRP for my car. "575M Maranello." #ZFFVB55A430134038. Originally ordered by Algar in Bryn Mawr. Get back on your trike w/training wheels and ride down to the Hot Wheels Community College where you will find out you are still dead wrong.
Zingara, I don't need to contact Pendott. Your pun backfired, because you can't spell "Challenge". Zingara, Whenever someone says "I almost never do this", they usually do it more often than they should. Now you have resorted to namecalling on a public forum, and also hurling insults. There are many posers in car forums, so you should be a little more understanding if your credibility is questioned as a result of your inability to spell "Challenge" or understand that M means "Modificato" and not "Maranello" I'm sure (or at least hope that) the Ferrari owners on this forum would agree. Respect goes a long way around here. ~shahedc .
LOL! I thought "Fight to the death" went out around The Renaissance.... http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_0306_2003_ferrari_575m_maranello
Motor Trend is wrong. Or maybe they just decided to use the word as an adjective before the car name. here's a screenshot from Ferrari's website: ~shahedc . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is this still actually happening? The Motor Trend article was to show the use of the word "Modificata".... Yeah they were wrong about which M but it's obvious the M in 575M stands for Modificata, not Maranello. 575M Maranello. How anal retentive can we be next?
Sorry, I'll stop. I guess we are way off topic.. I guess I got a little carried away after Zingara's post. Back on topic: 2003 575 for $118k?? ~shahedc .
The reason why this 2003 575M Maranello was listed for so cheap was probably due to the fact it was involved in an accident back on 10/17/2004 in Flushing, NY. The seller listed as "no known accidents or bodywork" but the free AutoCheck service on eBay clearly shows the accident history back in '04 where a police report was filed. Doesn't sound like it was just a "minor" fender bender. Go figure? Anyway, probably also answers the question why the seats and backlid are a mismatched color to the rest of the interior.
I love the irony of you calling me, or anyone for that matter a blithering idiot. It's too delicious, but of course you could never begin to fathom that. What is it exactly? 575M or 575 Maranello? But, oh wait.... it says 575M Maranello on your personal MSRP. One of the M's must be redundant, or the the MSRP sticker writer was a stutterer and repeated the M before he got the whole of Maranello out - like M...Maranello. Thanks for the entertainment. You must have inherited the money to buy the car. Blithering idiot indeed.....
looks like next time i'll avoid abbrev. manual with just M. looks like the accident info provided by flynf1 explains why it is priced in addition to the "ugly" (imo) interior.
You know if you swapped the cream leather for dark blue to match the exterior it would look amazing imho. I saw a 575SA somewhere to that effect...wish I could remember where.
+1. Agree. For interested party, I was about to suggest asking the seller if he still has the original seats stashed away somewhere....until I saw the matching white rear leather
Found it! http://ferrarisanfrancisco.com/preowned/index.cfm?sFuse=ALT&iVehID=282&CFID=9913484&CFTOKEN=51168062#
oh, man! .... wife working this sat so it's off to FofSF for a lookie-see.....of course after inter lagos qualifying
Well for starters, your VIN is wrong. All US-spec Ferrari 575M Maranello (except SuperAmericas) VINs will start with zffBV55, not zffVB55. But more importantly, 410SA is right on the money. The "M" in 575M stands for Modificato not Maranello, just as it did on the 456M models to which it evolved in the 1999 and continuing production years. The 456M (Modificato, not Maranello as the Maranello was another car entirely). It's okay to be wrong now and then, Zingara, we all make mistakes. That's why we enthusiasts get on here with each other and share our opinions and experiences with others. But mistakes are made, myself certainly included, and should be admitted when they are. But to obliviously call the likes of 410SA a "blithering idiot" is inane and superfluous. Agreed?
AutoSportDesign in Lawn-Guy-Land sold one recently with an ask of 145. http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sales/Salesphotos.aspx?ID=1423 And those guys are never cheap. The price for an older 550 on the same site isn't too much lower.
