Its a couple of weeks away, but it is once again the expected match up in the AFC Championship game. So, will both teams be going in this game undefeated?

Nah, I know Brady threw 5TD's but really they were all just normal passes, open recievers and tons of time to pick and choose his target. It won't be that way against the Colts.

Cowboys secondary and corners are weak and the Pats took advantage of it. I knew they would, I even said so in that other thread.

Oh well, it will definately be the game to watch.

I was at the game this past weekend and I was impressed with the Patriots. I knew they were the better team coming in, but to put points up at will without even the threat of Maroney in the backfield was scarey. New England will be too much for Indy this year. Sorry Colts fans, the road to the Super Bowl will go through New England and Manning's TD record will be Brady's as well.

Well the Colts do have the 2nd best QB in NFL history, only behind Tony Romo :D.
    Colts/Peyton will run them over.

Colts killed the resident Panthers today, and looked good doing it.

But next week it's gonna be the NE Pats AT INDY for the game.... All indications say it's gonna be a great one!!!!

My money is gonna be on INDY because a friend of mine is a huge NE Pats fan, and I like to gamble with him, when the stakes are even or in my favor :) ....

Go INDY!!!!!!! Make me some money!!!!!

Yea and the Pats spanked Wash today....that wasn't even a game!

It's going to be a toughy, I'm routing for the Colts, but they're going to have to step up there game for this one.
Pats are averaging 41 pts a game and Brady's QB rating average is 138 this season.

I think if Indy pulls off a win it will be in OT or at the buzzer by a Field Goal.

I'm neither a Colts nor Pats fan, but I think the Pats will win.

I think Belichek has some serious mental issues...

Yes, he does. Despite being a football genius, I think he takes the game a little to far. First of all, he dresses like he's homeless, second he said that he team needs to improve still after thromping/stomping/thrashing/trashing/destroying/owning/beating downing/embarrassing the Redskins, third HE CHEATED, he obviously gained an advantage on his opponents and was dealt with extremely lightly.

Colts will win. Their defense is pretty stout and I don't think the Pats are as prepared for the Colts' running game which they can turn to in a heartbeat. If Tom Brady is constantly being pressured and the Colts' pass defense is effective, I doubt the Pats have enough of a running game to help them win.

Thank you for pointing this out, everyone seems to be forgetting that they were caught cheating. And its not like it was a one time thing, other teams have accused them of taping in the past, not to mention their opponent's headsets have alarmingly bad reliability...

I can't respect any team that cheats but its even worse with the patriots because they would still knock the snot out of everyone, just maybe only by 21 points.

Fourth, look what he's done since he 'got caught' - nothing has changed.

I have to pick Indy, at home, with a teeny bit better running game and better pass defense than the usual NE opponents have had.

I wonder who would win if Brady AND Manning did not play ? Now THAT would be interesting.

I'll go out on a limb and predict that the Pats win in a blow-out. 41-24 sounds about right.

I agree that he seems consumed by the game, but that's what it takes to be among the best. Jordan and Tiger have done the same thing, they're just a LOT more personable than Belichek off the field.
Who cares? The man is paid to win football games, not strut the catwalk.
When is the last time you saw a coach say that his team was perfect? I've never heard Tiger or Jordan say that they were good enough, or didn't need improvement.
Agreed. There is no excuse for cheating.

I dunno, the Redskins had a pretty good pass defense and the Pats still thrashed them, although they did force Brady to run for two of his five TDs rather than throwing for all of them.

Haha, that would be interesting, especially since I don't have any idea who either of their back-ups are.

Losing a first round pick and $500,000 out of pocket is being dealt with lightly???? You dislike the Pats so much you can't look at anything objectively. They could have beheaded Belichick and you wouldn't have thought that was enough.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are all in denial if you think every team in the NFL wasn't doing the same thing. Everyone is trying to gain an advantage. Whether it is stealing signals or having the defense illegally trying to draw the offense off sides (like Baltimore accused the Jets of earlier this season). Also, if it was a team like Tampa that got caught filming the signals, they would have got a slap on the wrist and this wouldn't even be a story.

How much more dominant do the Pats have to be before everyone can admit that stealing some signals wasn't responsible their success over the last 6 years?
I do agree though that, as a fan, it is disappointing that they resorted to breaking the rules, especially when they did not need to.

my view on this game isn't the running game, isn't the defensive game, it's which qb will step up more. brady and manning are in the top 2 or 3 qb's who are active, dependent on where you put farve, and someone's out to have a good game. it'll either be a blowout or a close game with a score that's up there.

now, moving onto the defensive and running games, indy definitely has a better run with joseph addai leading the way. the patriots do have a stellar defense though, (they've racked up a pretty good number of points on my fantasy team) but then again, the patriots have the wr's that can change the game in an instant, making the plays that seem like they can't be done. i'm picking colts, 41-35.

yes, bill belicheck cheated, however, he is one of the best coaches that's ever been in the game, i doubt there's anyone out there that can refute this.

    Pats: 38
    Colts: 24

And just for the hell of it - Manning will throw 2 picks.

Personally, Belicheck should have been suspended for a minimum of 4 games. They should have also launched a better investigation back to see if this had happened before and if necessary stripped the team of wins and championships. Taking away the Super Bowl sounds harsh, but there should not be any room in sports for cheaters, you saw what happened to McLaren in F1, this is pretty similar and imo McLaren got off easy also.

I don't dislike the Pats, only that they cheated and how overrated Tom Brady is IMO.

Also, people were complaining how easy a schedule Dallas has, consider this the Patriots have twice the amount of wins that the rest of their division has combined.

I just don't see the pure talent for Brady. Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, and Tony Romo have talent, they can thread a football through a needle at 50 yards, and they are athletically gifted. I give it to Brady, he is very smart and doesn't make dumb mistakes. Stats are very good, but stats can't be judged solely to judge a player. His character, well he doesn't support his children and leaves them with "mom". His leadership is good.

I think if you take the mind of Peyton Manning and combine it with the playing ability of Eli Manning, you get Tom Brady, very good but not elite, like Tony Romo :D.
