Do you know on which magnum tv show the black 308 appeared and their was a chase scene with the two 308s?
I do not think that ever happened. You may be thinking of the chase scene with the black Porsche 928 and the 308 and/or the episode with Erin Gray and the other red 308 that she used to trick Magnum to let her in the estate. That one never had a chase scene with the two cars, though.
There was an episode with two 308s - one was green, and 'loaned' out to Robin Masters' nephew during his visit to the island. I don't recall a chase scene, but there may have been.
only thing missing for the 3x8 would be a Scott-ferrarichat SC : boosted to 20+ even a twin-turbo Volvo can put heat to older 3x8 sorrrrryyyy guys, but twu-so-twu [I feel a tsunami about to hit.............run]
That episode was, I believe, in season six, and titled "Summer School". There was a chase scene, but I believe it was between the green 308 and a Firebird.
Go back and watch it. The green 308's front spoiler changes from a US to a Euro depending on the scene.
I have heard Tom Selleck say just that in interviews. He can't be happy about a remake. He also said that it would have to be a good script for him to do it. I would like to see the supporting actors again also. Dave

I am still waiting for someone to tell me the only episode in which Magnum's (Robin's) 308 went from US to Euro to US again - and I am not talking about the spoiler - I mean the whole car changed in 5 seconds. No question it was NOT a US 308. I'll narrow it down for everyone, it was sometime in the first 3 seasons and the car was sitting still and, yes, it was Robin's 308, not another one. Only time during the entire series this ever happened.
Hope this isn't a hijack- I think I'm on topic. I've seen several guys comment on the "deeper and darker" Magnums. I don't know if any one has seen the "Jesse Stone" series of made for tv movies (produced by, directed by Tom Selleck) a huge Magnum fan- having seen every episode when they were original, not to mention many many many times in syndication, I find the parralells between Jesse Stone and Magnum very interesting. It is almost like the ultimate deep/dark Magnum episode. It's like who I think Magnum would be if things had not worked out well w/ his decision to be a "grownup" 20 years ago. After a failed marriage and years of alcohol abuse" Jesse Stone arrives from the west coast to become the chief of policw for Paradise ( can't just be coincidental) MA, not only that he shows up wearing the same style flight jacket that Magnum wore in the last season, and the same Rolex GMT, and the Gov't model .45. I know it is a different character, but it has the feel, at least to me, of a very very dark magnum episode. Would love to hear some other opinions from others who've seen it
I have some used tensioner bearings for the winner. Used only 30,000 miles. Took them off my car back in 04 at the last belt change. It was an extreme close up and there is NO DOUBT that the car is non-US. In the next shot it is the "real" US 308 again. Magnum is standing there the entire time.
I'll make it easier, it is somewhere between episode 20 and 40. That's less than one whole season to sift through
