Well I have another 5mths b4 I need to get one. I dont really care about delayed TV shows, I errr magically get them from the internets but LIVE F1 events would be nice to watch. instead of looking at text haha.
If I watch it on tvu then I prob wont bother watching it on TV again(for the higher res). Whereas with the f1 live site. Even tho I know the results I still will put the effort to watch the race.

www.sopcast.com will let you watch Star Sports (based out of Malaysia/Singapore) plus a number of other versions in different languages. Even the ads are interesting.... using F1 cars and drivers in Mobil, Vodafone, Johnnie Walker and other ads
your a genius.. I have been looking for solutions for my mother who loves all the sh**ty British soaps (Emerdale, Coronation Street etc) that she is missing so much down here in Australia... OMFG.... whinging about spoilers with all these options out there for free, and essentially live....... there are some stupid mofo's in fchat internets land today. Newsflash...... don't whinge and petition for banning of others who choose the smart way, just beacuse you are too dumb or lazy to run an internet search engine for 5 mins....
Newsflash... don't **** things up for others, just because you are happy watching F1 at a lower resolution than a Casio calculator watch. I still haven't seen anybody offer a good excuse for spoilers, other than scud saying he was "sorry if he ****ed up" - which, if he bears it in mind from now on, is all that really matters, and full credit to him for saying it.
we watched livesporton.tv all year except for the 4 races i went too. they were great. will give tvu web site a chance next year though too. just depends on the quality of the feed. just wish foxtel would pick it up. stuff channel 10, we've gone to bed before everyone else has started watching it usually.
Did you have any issues with the stream pausing (or just the video pausing) or anything like that? Were you using the HQ feed? I tried it out with their demo stream (FIA GT Spa 24 hours! Awesome, hope I can get that somehow too) but it kept breaking up. I think that was during the rugby final though, so it might've just been a once-off. TVU and Sopcast don't have (IMO) the picture quality to match the HQ version of livesporton.tv, but when I've used them for qualifying they didn't have any problems with streaming nonstop, possibly due to their P2P nature. If Foxtel started showing F1, they'd definitely gain me as a subscriber! I love all their docos and stuff... but I already know who won the war (not Hitler, OMGSPOILERS), so I don't really need to see that live and can wait to get them via other means (downloads, DVDs, FTA etc). F1 on the other hand... every second's worth of delay is like a tiny knife through my heart.
