But the A/V setup looks like crap The TV is so low that anyone in the 2nd row and beyond cannot see anything but heads. Also, the seats look too uncomfortable for a 2 hour race... Surely, they could afford to create a better temporary setup? ~shahedc .
That entire setup is worth around $175,000. The tv is the largest flatscreen produced today, I believe. It is 104 inches. Seats aren't that bad.
Seats were comfortable. As already suggested, the television is the biggest plasma ever made. That said, I sat at the other tv by the door, as I couldn't see the plasma. I agree that it should have been on a stand. Great race!
Sick event huge props to Miele and crew. I've been to F1 events at FOW and they sucked by comparison.
Must be joking.. I think they were macintosh amps. Probably close to 200K in gear there with the speakers. Not crappy at all. And the sound was perfect.
But how about the sound of that monster when Chris Started it in the building! My 7 year old ran out of the building and the car alarms were going off.
That was the 3rd time I have heard Chris fire up the FXX, and this was the loudest by far. This time I had to put the camera down and cover my ears. I have tried to expain to people just how awsome it sounds, but there is no way to do it justice without being there. As usual it was a great event. The F50 was a nice bonus.
Too bad I missed it. Looks like it was a great turnout. Stayed up too late the night before but got to catch the final 17 laps on TV when I woke up .

Are you kidding me? Did you actually spend time writing a post that is complaining about a 103" plasma TV at an event that you didn't even bother to attend? I really don't understand the mentality of a person who sees a post about a very generous PUBLIC display for the local community, setup by a generous dealership, and then has the audacity to knock the A/V setup. Maybe, sir, you should open your house and host a better party next time. Some people.....
Sorry I couldn't attend, I was watching it on a much smaller Plasma TV (42") at home. I was merely making an observation about the height of the seats relative to the position of the screen. I wasn't complaining about the size of the 103" display at all. I do agree that the public display was very generous indeed, and the cars that showed up are awesome, and the posts here have some really great car pics from the event. As for hosting a better party, I would love to do so for DC area residents, after I get my first Ferrari. (You will see from my profile and previous posts that I don't have one yet, but I do hope to get one by 2009. When I got my 07 SLK, I got an offer for a 348 Spider for less, but I opted for the SLK instead. I hope to gain more knowledge of Ferrari's and cars in general, over the next few years, then I'll finally be brave enough to get a used Ferrari, hopefully a 360 or F430) My apologies if my observations caused any misunderstanding. And responses to other previous posts.. -------------------------------------------- No complaints about the size of the TV, just an observation about the viewing position from Rows 2 and beyond.. This is a better comment, finally someone who attended understands what I was trying to say about the height of the TV! Glad to hear the sound was excellent. I didn't mention anything about the sound as I was not present. ~shahedc .
