My friend and I got the engine out of the 512TR out. I have many pictures and it wasn't that hard to do if you have the right equipment. Remember the 512TR has to come out the top. This engine is getting a major clean up and everything it needs to be sealed up and other things. I will post more pictures later. I got to get cleaned up and eat some dinner. It took us about 6 hours our first time doing it. If we had to do it again, I would say about 4 hours.

Couldn't do it with out it. My cherry picker just wouldn't be able to get it done. Not enough height.

I sure would like to hear what your car sounds like with just the headers and no mufflers! Whats under the car?? Is that a pit to get underneath?!!!!

Nice, wheres the stripper pole ? ;)

now that the engine is out a little insulation here & there can bring some very cheap hp gains

I would wrap the intake plenum & trumpets or have them painted w a heat reflective paint & also paint the radiator overflow tank. Also you can wrap the plastic intake tubes under the plenum

if you have the time, wrapping the fuel filters, lines, clutch cable

+ the long plastic snorkels inside the fenders

That will keep the air cooler & make more hp

    Thanks William,

I will take a look into it. I am going to have my headers ceramic coated on the inside of 2000K protection and the outside a chrome like ceramic coating. It will look nice and do it's job too. Hmmm...stripper pole. Not a bad idea eh? (as long it's not one of my gear wrenching buddies isn't on it).

That is an understatement if I ever read one! I wish I had just such a "good place"...

    Nice job Adam!

Say not to hijack the thread, but hows the Diablo running? You never gave us an update. I can see it's back on the road, but you did say you were making some modifications to it for some more ponies. How did that work out?
