Funny shot, Storm1. Ha! If you are in Bryan's car, you definitely gotta shoot fast and expect blur! Thanks for coming out Storm1 -- see you at the next run. Check 6. /s/ Alfonso He's definitely not in the circle of trust! ;-) Mrs. Prancing Horse: Nice clip -- the tunnel sounds are incredible -- my ears are still ringing from the blast in the tunnel! Thanks. Check 6. /s/ Alfonso
Wow! I can't thank the organizers & crew enough! This was just spectacular. Gaspare's was a perfect, and tasty conclusion to the drive. Watching the CGT dive in and out of corners was a special treat. There were so many high points to the drive but the sights, and sounds on the bridge and up through the tunnel were enough to cause a huge adrenaline rush. It was great to see some familiar faces, and meet some new people. Sounds like I missed a party after Gaspare's but was a little tired. I wonder if Forza, or various automotive publications would be interested in covering a story in the future.
As always looked like a lot of fun. Was supposed to ride shotgun with Tuan, but caught the cold/flu bug. Hope to make it out for the next one. Nice shots guys
MasterMech, Great to see you and meet your sister; I hope you will bring her along to future drives. I think you have a wonderful idea. I will contact Forza and other publications to let them know of this past event and future events. See you at the next Milk Run! Check 6. /s/ Alfonso Sorry to read that you got ill. Check 6. /s/ Alfonso
Thanks Alfonso & Lyndon for organizing a fantastic drive and dinner. That was the coolest drive I've ever been on!!! Everyone made it to the restaurant safely. The weather was amazingly clear. It was a sight to behold, 4 G's driving in formation before the tunnel. Elway, drop me a PM on your video. Kenny, it was nice meeting you and your wife. Funny, we both share similar taste in cars. Kirby, you missed an awesome drive. Tuan Hoang
Cool photos. Glad the weather worked out for you guys. Wish I would have the day off. I had customers come in that saw you and rubbed it in.
Thank you again Alfonso, Lydon, and the whole crew for this wonderful drive and dinner. It was great to have an CHP escort crossing the Golden Gate in front and back without getting full over. Thank you Vijay for helping me jump start my car too. Nice to see everyone and can't wait for the next event soon! Jr
We couldn't have asked for more georgeous October bay area weather the last 3 days, sorry you missed us, we'll have to talk to your boss about a Company car
The pictures are just fantastic and allow the rest of who had to work, live vacariously on the net through our friends.
I put up a 4 page photo gallery from the run: http://www.ted.cartsys.com/fchat_run_07/ I also posted a zip file of the full resolution photos (350MB) incase anyone would like to make a hard copy http://www.ted.cartsys.com/fchat_run_07/full_res.zip Thank you Alfonzo for all of your work to put this together. Kudos to Alfonso for putting this event together. I didn't think that it would be possible to get CHP escort across the Golden Gate, but Alfonso was able to get that accomplished. Alfonso also spent the time and effort to arrange the photographers, airplane, traffic control, etc. Now that we know what's possible, it opens up a new realm of possibility for our future drives. As usual, much gratitude to Prancing Horse, our official "Mapmaker", who put together an awesome route once again. Who else would take the time to plan and configure driving routes and then produce colored maps for all the drivers? Thanks, Lyndon, we know you do this simply for the passion of driving.
AWESOME pics Ted! I still can't belive you captured the G's exhaust backfire, too cool! You have to come on the next run!
This drive was SO FUN !!! Perfect weather, perfect route, perfect cars, everyone was so happy - and how many people can say they crossed the GG Bridge in 30 seconds?? )
Great pics and what was a great drive. I see a gal with a Boston Terrier in one of your pics Ted. That def. was a Stampede
WOW, I am sorry I missed this one!!! Long story, but ended up At Laguna Seca with 49 other Ferrari's from FOSV for the AMLS, Ferrari first place in there class! It was a great day as well.
Wow! what a great run through the GGB. That was the best. What a rush and a sight to behold with all the exoctics on the bridge. Alfonso - Thanks for all the hard work putting this together and making it happen. You rock! Lyndon - As always you put together a great route. The drive along the coast was great. Much thanks to the aerial and ground photo crew. Great pics. Nice way to end the day at Gaspares. Food was great. Looking forward to the next drive. Thanks guys
Thanks Alfonso, that means a lot. Of course, this isn't exactly stressful work though Let me know when, I've got some good ideas.
PH thanks for giving me the link to this thread so I can thank everyone. Here is the link to my movie that I shot of us on the bridge. Will sort some pics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwaDHRXp3J4 To all on the run, awesome day and great people! Alphonso! Thanks for hooking this all up, you did a fantastic job organizing the event. Alex, thanks for the pics of me in the M. (anyone else with pics of my car, Silver Murci, shoot me a message!) Sorry I couldn't make the lunch but had a previous engagement I needed to scoot to! Here's a funny pic of the guy who saw our convoy stream by, then he pulled behind me and paced us for awhile. My wife snapped this as I waved and we drove by (speed limit of course). Then some misc pics, one of PH talking to the CHP in the road, on the bridge, and my car at Stinson. Have pahlenty more, just pics too big for downloading. Will convert more when I get a chance. Thanks again for a most enjoyable day! Love you too, Ben!!! hahaha I still can't believe that you caught up with us so fast. Crazy beemer! I got lots of tips that day! LOL Hilarious, D. I can't believe that CHiP didn't give me the 'thumbs-up' back. Dang! Do you remember when I told the girls that "Ferrari's are usually very reliable cars". hahaha Oh ya...you're too cool for us, Dan. J/K Missed ya Unbelievable day! I am still in shock from the noise in the tunnel! Alfonso, you are the best. I didn't believe it until I saw the CHP units blocking traffic and waving us through the stop signs on Marina! Hella cool. Then racing out of the tunnel at full throttle... And my thanks to Lyndon as well...I was one of the four that were in line for a ticket. LOL. And Gaspare's was great! It was great to see everybody. I am, as always grateful for your friendship. Flames from the Gallardo!!!
We even stooped to get donuts and chat with some aviation buddies for a while too, though I did rip Lucas Valley a new one; we were much more sedate on the drive back. Aahahhah love ya right back times a million!
"Sorry Officer. It was all my fault. I told these guys that the last one to the restaurant would have to trade their Tubi, Larini, or Capristo modded Ferrari/Lambo for a Tesla. I have never seen so much fear!" ddoninja: very nice vid. Here are a few more clips cobbled together. "Where there's smoke there's fire" http://youtube.com/watch?v=OI9gVV6642Q
