    Well ,all the years of dreaming,setting goals and aspiring to have a Ferrari came true.The timming of the delivery was amazing.This past sunday afternoon at about lap 25 of the Brazilian Grand Prix my doorbell rings.It was Bruce,the transportor who brought me my beautiful 1987 328GTS.Forty Five minutes later Kimi won the championship and I took delivery of the most modernish(As per Bullfighter)Ferrari ever WOW!It couldn't have been better.

    I purchased the car from Steve Barney at SportAuto,the expeirence was also wonderful working the people there.
    By the way,can anyone tell me what type of radio came with the car?
    Very difficult to concert and run a business.

    Mike,she's even more beautiful than I anticapated.Need to do a major service soon.I also installed already Metal pedals from Hill Engineering.
    They make the foot well look really cool!

    Congrats on your new car. I'm sure the engine will be all the music you really need in that car. However, if you want to put in a radio, you should know that there was NO STANDARD radio. Cars were delivered to the dealers with the wiring and speakers set up and there was a leather panel/delete plate where the radio would go. The head unit choice was left up to the owner. At the time many people put in Blaupunkt as they liked that when it lit up it was a closer match to the dial colors and gauges when the headlights were turned on at least that was what the dealer told us back then. But lots of people put Alpines in their cars. Personally, I think the Alpines were better units (had Blaupunkts in Porsches and not too impressed with them). My '89 328 was purchased new by my Father and he had the dealer install an Alpine CD player and ADS amp. Last year I took the original Alpine CD player out as the technology is much better today, old head units with front loading CD players used to skip if you drove over a penny in the road. I saved the old unit, but replaced it with a modern Alpine single CD player with removeable face plate. Its sounds better and no more skipping. But in all honesty I rarely turn on the radio or use the CD player preferring to hear the engine. Still its nice to know its there if I want to use it. I have seen earlier 328s that still have their old Alpine/Blaupunkt or Kenwood tape decks in them but I doubt you will find much in the way of tape decks these days.

    Thanks Dino,the actually came with a SONY radio with a cassette deck and obviously like you said has a removable face plate.The previous owner put a CD changer in the trunk.Which I would prefer to remove.

    Just put new Pads on today,what a difference!Major service is being done by Doug Perone at Berlinetta MotorCar.
