I think this color is fantastic. So original, but classy. When one thinks of brown they think ugly, but not here.

    Hope we get pics.

This is for sure one of those cars that YOU have to see in person to fall in love with the color combo...under the SUN the flake is so beautiful...at night it turns almost a dark purple color...till I get pics of that car...here are pics of mine I have now #19 AND it just turned 25K miles and running stronger than ever!!

I've never had the opportunity to check one out in person, but regardless it's been beauty in my eyes since I first saw pictures in dupont registry while I was in high school.

Your car is stunning and I can only imagine in real life what it would be like.

    Thanks for sharing!

I never thought I would like a brown car until I saw Roy's 6.0 SE (#19) in person. Marrone Eklipsis is a pearlescent color and you need to see this car in person to fully appreciate the paint.

    Wrong.

Lamborghini built more than 23 Gold Diablo 6.0SEs, and less than 17 Brown Diablo 6.0SEs.
If you include the "special color" 6.0SEs in UK, there are more than 43 6.0SEs built.
Also I know of at least 7 6.0SEs in RHD, and at least one Gold 6.0SE been repaint to Pearl Yellow.

OK, that is the info I have...what do you have for total??

    BROWN........

    GOLD>.........

The 3 colors in England, RHD.........

I know of iother RHD but they are gold and brown..correct??

The only FACTORY painted SE cars not in Gold and Brown are the three in UK correct?
    NOT customer re-paints...

    TOTAL SE produced??

The one still at the Factory museum is Gold and I think is #42 correct??

Depends who you ask I think...someones worth is anothers waste...

But the SE is a different car from the standard Diablo 6.0 so I think it is worth more...I love mine

Differnt seats, (electric only on the SE), different gears, lighter weight, difffernt CF on the car, better leather, different brakes, differnt tranny gears, different engine valve covers and many others on the car...here is info from factory info..

    2001 Diablo VT 6.0 SE (42 built)

A special edition of the succesful Diablo 6.0 has been prepared and was presented to the public at the 2001 Geneva Motorshow on 3 Mar 2001.

The aim of this special version is to emphasise some of the characteristics of the Lamborghini Diablo offering extreme performance in a comfort package and two exclusive colors: Oro Elios (Gold) and Marrone Eklipsis (Brown), showing the two opposites of Life.
The interior upholstery, seats and dashboard, are colour co-ordinated to the colour of the body and the seats have a special trim.

Comfort in enhanced by an electric seat adjustment as well as by the state-of-the-art Alpine audio system integrating a pan-European navigation system. The same integrated system is available for the US market.

All the exterior and interior details are in visible carbon fibre and have been made with a special titanium thread, thus giving the car more of a shine.

All the metal details of the cockpit have a titanium finish.

The gear lever knob and grid are made of titanium, a very technical material. The intake manifolds and the cylinder-head covers have been made in magnesium in order to emphasise the technological aspect of the engine and to save weight, whereas the brake calipers are now customised with the Lamborghini logo.

To offer the drivers of the Diablo 6.0 SE the best, in terms of acceleration, these models are equiped with a short gear ratio.

The owners of a Lamborghini Diablo SE will be proud of owning such a car, celebrating the entry of the Diablo in the new Millenium.

Technical specifications are identical to the ones of the Diablo 6.0.

Great write-up Roy!! Thanks for the info. I did not even know what the original MSRP was. That is about $60K more than the standard 6.0. Worth it or not? Not sure because I am not a fan of the colors but I am a fan of the options added.
