Greetings West Coasters! I found out quite by accident of the Ferrari Reunion at Infiniti Raceway on October 24; any of you guys (or gals) have details on what will be going on? Me & the Mrs. will be in the Napa/Sonoma area the 22-24th, actually driving from Napa to Monterey on the 24th (doing a PCH tour down to Cambria.) I could probably sneak in a drive past Infineon on the way, but can't find a schedule anywhere. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment!
You are correct. A quick check to Infineon Raceway's website confirms their reunion: http://infineonraceway.com/schedule/complete_schedule/
24 GTO's at Infineon Raceway are advertised for viewing on an invite I received....how many show may be another story..weather???
Here is a single photo from the event. I took 200+, but I need to go through them. What a great day watching them circle Infineon. I even got a ride in one of them. Wow!!! And thank you to the owner, who I won't identify for his privacy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Amazing day. Lots of video... and one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had.... I was getting ready to go for a media ride in one of the GTO's, Helmet on, door open, getting into the car... and they threw the checkered flag on the session. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner was very gracious and very sorry we didnt get to take a lap or two. As I thank you I'll go buy a couple more of his albums . I was bummed like you can believe... about to go for a ride in a GTO, driven by a musical legend... Damn, damn, damn.
WOW this is certainly a very historic event. Are there more GTO's reuniting at this event than there reunion a few years ago at the Monterey Historics? I hope you took some great photos because I am so eager to check them out! Happy to hear you got a ride in a GTO must be pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing your photos to us
the Wes-Cam equipped copter taking footage of the cars was INSANE. It made a couple passes up and down the front straight about 50 feet off the deck. Same goes for a couple of passes it made going through 8-9-10. Damn it was low. The footage from that camera should be spectacular.
Here are a few "quickies" from today. I'll post a link when I go through them all. Jim Williams Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anyone know whats going on tomorrow or Friday? I have the days off from work and would love to take a ride to see the cars! Thanks.
Wow! Lucky you guys to go and witness this spectacular event. Choptop, I look forward to your footage! I'm sorry you missed out on a ride. If it is any consolation, I still have yet to ride in ANY F-car and there are 2 in my neighborhood! Jim great shots! I can't wait to see the others. Did anyone happen to see this 250GTO by chance? I saw it at a Paradise Valley Vintage car show and was floored by it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'll get more posted soon. The dark blue one you pictured was not there. Neither was the lone silver one. It was a great showing though!
A bunch of these guys are at meadowood resort in St. Helena. I've been seeing many of them running about town. pretty cool.
