I wash mine and then put her to bed with her cover.

Have to make sure she is kept warm.

When she is dirty the cover doesn't go on.

The cover has been sitting in the corner of the garage collecting dust. I can't bring myself to cover her up! :D

Yes we are talking about Ferrari's but I can see where we are all headed with this.

When I take my car cover off her she tells me 'Let me have it!!'

Of course she gets it and the tachometer goes redlining!!

I have covered our old PF coupe for 32 years religiously, with two layers. Our cat likes to sleep on top of her. She (the Ferrari, not the cat) gets dusted off a few times each year and waxed, never gets wet. She has the best view out the garage window of the sheep pasture on our farm.

I don't cover it in the garage. (But I don't have kids' bicycles or garden tools that might fall against it.)

I used to cover the Ferrari in the parking lot at work, to keep the tree sap and bird droppings off it. Now I have underground garage parking at work, so the cover never gets used.

A dirty Ferrari is a driven Ferrari is a happy Ferrari. ;)

I keep mine covered in the garage. I use breathing covers (Cal Car Cover) It prevents scratches, etc. Dont use em outside.

+1. Ditto on California Car Covers. I do have a Wolf outdoor car cover that I use on the Corvette to keep the crap from the trees off the car.

I ALWAYS cover mine with a light dust cover. I NEVER put her away dirty. It is a dry dusty climate here, so when I remove the dust cover, she's always perfectly clean and ready to drive.

I cover mine (355 spider) in the garage after I drive it (and after it cools down). My kids got their bikes, toys, and crap all over the garage. Some days they play in the garage with their friends so the cover acts like a shield. I'd rather not have it on so that I can see it every time I go in and out of the house.

More important....where / how does one clean a cotton cover. I have a very soft red cotton cover, and I am not sure of the best way to clean.

I just used a large plastic bucket (size of a large ice chest) filled it with hose water, "small" amount of clothes soap and agitate by hand for 5 min, rinse a couple times then hang dry. Dont machine dry...it might shrink.

I rarely cover (maybe twice in three years). I drive my car at least once per week even in winter, and four or five times a week in summer. Just not worth the trouble.

I drive my 360 1 to 2 times a week during the summer. It isn't always clean enough to be covered, so I just leave it uncovered. This will be my first winter of ownership, and I plan to get it superclean and then cover it, put it up on the lift (which is getting delivered and set up on Saturday!) and put it away for the winter. I'll definitely drive it in the winter when the roads are dry, but I don't expect to be in it much. Northeast winters can really stink!

i have a cover which is always on the car even though it's in the garage - they are so easy to take on and off I don't see why its a question. By the way I have an extra unused custom red 355 spider cover that is still in the shippers box- it cost me $299 - $200 will get it if anyone is interested.
