I'll repeat whats been said, very glad you and your family are okay. Cars can be replaced, people cannot.

Best wishes to you and your family. As well as everyone else who lost everything.

If it's okay to ask, were you able to save anything sentimental? Meaning family pictures and such, or was there no time?

    Godspeed.

Your photo certainly stands out from what we usually see on this forum. I just stared at it with a dumbfounded look for a while. It's been so sad seeing people on CNN, many of lesser means, who have lost everything. But things, even Porsches and Ferraris and houses, are just things.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Just one more voice. I was in the fire zone (Rancho Santa Fe - Del Mar), but was lucky.

A terrible loss. I hope you were able to save family photo's etc, something I feared when evacuated. No words to describe or convey feelings. Just, best wishes to you and your family going forward. Best

Hi Bill, (or anyone else who knows the answer...)

Were you and your family at or near the house at the time of the fire? Or did you already evacuate and leave your stuff behind?

I hope no one was injured, and that you and your family are able to stay at another location while you take care of things.

Sorry for your losses, and best of luck for the future!

    Take care,
    ~shahedc

Very sorry about your loss and I can only imagine what you and family must feel. Glad that your are safe.

This also serves as a reminder to us all how insignificant we and our positions are against nature.

God speed for a full recovery to as you were!

Shocking picture. I can't even imagine what you guys must be going through out there. So sorry to see that, but hopefully no one was injured. Best of luck rebuilding. That must have been an incredibly hot inferno to melt metal to that degree.

The fact that you didn't post your message from a hospital bed is cause for a celebration. Seriously.

+ ALL the previous thoughts. It's amazing to see the difference between an aluminum and steel body shell. In the end both are gone, but shocked to see the CS turn into VAPOR. All the best in the recovery and rebuilding process.

Don't think I would trade the snow for that experience. Just look forward to the day when you can again park a Ferrari in your new garage. Good luck with new choices!

    Hey Bill,

No disrespect but I was trying to figure if I had seen you around at all and saw that you had posted this before. At least people can get an idea of the what the cars looked like. If it's too painful I can have the pic removed. Sorry, once again. :(
