Well between the license plate/license plate cover it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he works for Apple...and quite possible had something to do with the iPod. Pretty cool...
The Mazda name for that colour is Mariner Blue. The Forza article (Aug 07) gives a more detailed explanation of his collection and how he acquired each car (308, 355 and 430) as well as his employment history at various computer companies, a history he translates into each car's license plate. He works for Apple (since 2000). The 430 was purchased with the sale of Apple stock he admittedly sold too early or he could have bought 3 430s. He says he doesn't work on the iPod, but wanted to give credit to the company he works for. Really neat story about a passionate Ferrari enthusiast. BTW, as previously stated, the color is Mariner Blue (early Mazda Miata) the only Ferrari painted that color. But, he mentions in the article he heard of a customer that ordered a 599 in that color after seeing his 430.
Hey Alex, you're not missing the license plate holder on the Dino too are you? I know where you can buy that one newly remanufactured if needed...
Glad you like'em. Here's a couple more I took, I might have posted some of these before.
