The new name of the color of the 430 Scuderia press car is

.......................... now called "Nuovo Rosso Scuderia"

when I spoke with the 8 cylinder product mgr in Frankfurt he suggested that the paint was not "commercial grade" and did not meet production requirements (time, weather, durability, etc.), rather it was made in house for the F1 team which are painted before every race. I wonder if they've now advanced this and have a PPG sourced product in that color? Hope so as it has a very "fresh" look!

 

Is it just the new name or is the colour considerably different from the current Rosso Scuderia?

 

Anybody here knows if this color is press only or it is available to order. My dealer is quite competent, but asked me to wait until he returns from the factory. But after seeing this paint one more time I am out of time. If this color is available I will change my 430 Scuderia color from ordinary Rosso Scuderia to this simply knocking out Nuovo Rosso Scuderia. Anybody knows the code of this paint or any other information. Thanks to everyone in advance.

+1......I was told the same thing......the color is still under development and unstable.

 

info i have is that Ferrari S.p.a. said that "Nuovo Rosso Scuderia" is going to be a production color. .... it's going to be like "Rosso Monza" which has a $25K upcharge because its a 4 layer process.

 

Thanks for update. This give me something to think about. From one side it is unique oportunity to own Scuderia painted Scuderia ofical color, from other side it is too pricey and too hard to keep.

Sounds like the pearl paint on the Gallardo I just sold. It looks amazing - and you pray every night that it never gets scratched because you know no-one can repair it.
