    Thanks Jorg, :)

I think we should call it an Alfa Romeo although it is a real historic "SF Racing car" :)

    Hi guys and girls :)

This is just a little peek on how it looks, while Carsten is working ;)
As you can see we'll need a bigger desk soon, with the new very large drawing paper! ;)

Carsten, your work is amazing. I love those detail shots! So much to discover what can't be seen in the 'overall' pictures. Will you upload a high res image of the complete drawing when you're finished? I'd love to see that! :)

    Thanks a lot Florian, :)

I love it when you can recognise a car (in one of my drawings) from a distance, yet still you can also go closer and discover some of the details that can be found on the real car!
Some of my drawings can be viewed for hours, and then suddenly you'll see or discover a detail that you had not seen at first glance! :)

I don't know about a high res picture yet, since I have not decided if prints will or can be made! Let's wait and see!! :)

    Fabulous!
The reflection of the exhaust in really nice.
Things like reflections and shadows really help define the form of not only what is causing them, but what it falls on.
The front left headlight is a prime example... the warping of its reflection on the curved fender as you've started, will really give a sence of its roundness...

I guess you'd call this reflecting on reflections. :)

    Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much Grant :), I really appreciate your compliments, and especially since coming from you, a class act artist yourself!
You are spot on with the reflections and shaddows, that more than anything else, serves to show the shapes of the objects they fall on! :)

More interesting "objects" will be added to this drawing later on!!! ;)

    Very best

    Carsten

Obviously, I'm also so happy to see you back at the drawing table. Every time I step into my living room and look at that stunning drawing of Hot Doc & Rachel, I think of you folks and I smile.

Wonderfull to read you're all doing fine after a difficult period!
Nice to see another work in process (I was absent for some time too) and pleasant to see an historical Alfa Romeo is the subject this time!
Hope to see more of your skills again! :)

    Ciao, A

Better late than never......I suppose!!!! :(

We have been spending loads of time lately to try and locate a new apartment for my father, as we wish to be closer to him after his strokes earlier this year! We have now succeeded in finding just the right apartment for him......only three minutes walk from here!!!
My father is looking so much forward to move, and of course so are we!!!

I have started to "build" the front wheel with some of the many spokes and hub and so on! Also the colour has changed slightly here and there!
