I use Griot's garage vinyl dressing on my rubber trim and tires. Seems very long lasting and not so shiny as some of the other brands. I use simple interior cleaner from Griot's on my interior vinyl.

Griots interior cleaner is freakin awesome stuff. I buy it by the gallon. It cleans vinyl, plastic, metal interior trim and even carpet and upholstery....No oily residue left over---basically it dries clean --no shine at all....

I use it and like it a lot- leaves a "natural" looking finish to vinyl and rubber. I'm generally a fan of all Griot's products.

"Dry Type" silicone spray is excellent at preserving/protecting rubber. It has two stated purposes: As a non-transferrable lubricant (for use on things such as food processing equipment), and to preserve rubber seals. You won't find it in your auto parts supplier's catalog of shine products. Industrial, hardware, cleaning, etc. supply places are the best source. Sometimes auto parts stores (NAPA) have it. Two most common ones are by 3M and Zep.

Dry silicone will not leave an oily residue and will not turn your tires brown. It does not leave an excess shine. It also works well for lubricating your window tracks (fuzzy strips). Do not confuse it with a spray silicone oil; these are two different things. Silicone oil leaves oily residue. 95% of the time, auto parts stores carry the silicone oil, not the dry type. Read the label -- dry silicone either says "dry type" or something to the effect of "FDA approved for food handling equipment".

    Hope this helps. :)
