They will sell them more than fresh warm cupcakes. Seriously, this car might be hit of the century. No matter age or sex, most people adore it. The interior's funky too and the driving experience is said to be fun. I don't have any use for it but if I was married or had kids I would loved to see someone in the family get one :)

They already are!! Sold out (don't know what the waiting period is though). Fiat has had to increase the 2008 production from 150k to 180k to meet demand!!

There has been some discussion that an Abarth version might be sold through Alfa dealers once the network is established.

the 500 is awesome! even better then the Mini. Maybe Disney should be a sequel with Luigi being the new 500.

Great little car, looks even better in flesh. What I particularly like is that it doesn't look that much 'retro'. If there hadn't been the old 500 and this new one came out today, you'd still say "what a gorgeous car" - it's different with the new Mini and especially the VW New Beetle imho

no no no i don't want to see sentences like "the new 500 is like the mini",if you think the design is the same, try to find the FIAT STILE,the back of 500 is the same of the STILO...

in italy we have request of 500 hold until february 2008

I love the looks of the car, especially that gorgeous dashboard design which is truly a work of art! But if it came to the States they would have to pump it up to at least 200 bhp before I'd consider buying it instead of a Mini Cooper S JCW. Top shelf service and reliability would have to be there as well.

I really like the looks and the simple functionality of the FIAT 500. I wish we could buy one here in the USA.

Just a thought, Chrysler announced today that it is closing some plants and laying-off 10000 workers. Maybe if Luca, gave a call to the Mayor of Detroit, a deal could be arranged for a limited production run of a few million or so, to help both sides out. Where are Lee Iacocca and Ricardo Mantalban, these days...?

    Ciao...Paolo

Paul, With Michigan Deer Season to open to firearms, on Nov. 15, and about 3 million men and women under arms, so to speak. I think we can work out a deal on fine Deerskin leather hides, for the interiors, on a trade credit bases. With Little Caesers and Dominoes Pizza Empires, located within less than an hours driving time of each other, Delivery vehicles and $1000. of Pizza Coupons, with the sale of a FIAT 500 "Pizza Speciale!" Multi-Fuel capability, Ethanol and Pepperoni!

I think that this could spearhead FIAT'S North American Return, to the Americas! Scuderia Pizza Pie! I kinda got carried away, but y'all get the idea! ;)

    Ciao...Paolo

Macchine e mangiare al'Italiano! Che bello!!! Interno finita con pelle di cervi americani!

Seriously, I would buy an Abarth Cinquecento in a heartbeat, even with a deerskin interior. There are plenty of deer by my house; nobody hunts (bow & arrow only) and as a result they get real big-and cause lots of damage to plants and cars.....ask me how I know. Kill them all!!!
