I let my 355 sit for about two months and the battery went dead. Tried to charge the battery but it wouldn't hold a charge. Had the fun experience of removing the front tire to replace the battery (excellent planning Ferrari, pure genius!) and now the car has power but won't start. Is there anything I need to do with the alarm after replacing the battery to reset it? I searched the forums but didn't find an answer... Any help is much appreciated!

After you reconnect the new battery's terminals, you should be able to start your car after disarming it with your keyfob first.

Won't start? What are your symptons? Does the engine turn over? No? Do you get a "click" noise? Or is nothing happening, like the alarm is not disarming?

Wow you guys are fast... the 355 brotherhood! The car does nothing, no turning over, no clicking sound, nothing. It has plenty of power... radio works, lights work, etc... Just no starting or even attempts at starting. The batteries in the key fob are good as it does the beep-beep thing. However the flashers flash 4 times which I assume means something?

I get 4 flashes while arming when one of the doors or trunk lid is not fully closed.

    Is car a F1 trans?

Are you sure the new battery is FULLY charged...?

Take the leads to the battery terminals off again and clean them with a stiff steel brush then reattach them.

RTFM? Is that Return to Ferrari Mechanic? If so, it is enroute in the AM and I will post to let everyone know what happens.

I'm guessing it's a problem with your alarm system. So I would be looking into that first. Sorry I don't have any specifics for you to look into, only that I think it's a problem with your alarm.
