I drive my 355 at week-ends only. Sometimes she stays in the garage for 2-3 weeks with the battery disconnected. I was told that the reset process is not quit safe, and it's tedious to do it every time I want to go out. So I'm thinking about buying a battery tender or conditioner (I don't know if they are the same).
    Can you recomend any?
Where must the leads be connected?
Is it an easy job, can I do it at home (I'm not a very fine mechanic, just a regular guy...)?

Yes, I've seen that thread. But, where exactly do you connect the leads? I dont want to use the cigarrette lighter to do it.

Easiest way is to put the connector on the right rear of the engine compartment. under the shield (3 Allen) screws you will see the + and ground boss. connect them there.

You could also go to the battery ,but it requires taking off more panels and routing the wire up through the trunk.

Car must stay with doors , or the window, opened...it's a question of security.

    Thanks for your replay, guys.

    Hello Nuno !

Go to Lidl next wednesday and for 19,99 buy one of the battery tenders they'll have for sale. I have one of those and it works great! I will buy another one for the MG.
It only has the traditional clamps included, but for the price you can make your own connections so that you can easily connect/disconnect it !

Just let me know if you need any help to do it.

You can close the door on the cord, no problem. The rubber gaskets on the door will easily conform to the thin cord (18 gauge wire).

I thought so. Last winter I had my 355 in storage with a battery tender using the cigarette adapter. Was able to close the door, lock it and had the car cover over it. So I see no disadvantage to using the cigarette adapter. I will be doing it again this winter.
