I recently purchased a 90 348ts. The car has the stock exhaust which I plan to upgrade. As I live in northern Minnesota, I have no smog laws to be concerned with. I plan to run the cat test pipes along with either a Tubi or an X-OST system. Many owners have good things to say for the X-OST sytems, however I would like to hear some input from those of you who run the Tubi systems.

As it stands now, Daniel (Ricambi) can set me up with the X-OST system for $2400 shipped. There are some online sources in which I could get it as low as $2100 shipped, but it comes from the UK. A local Caifornia dealer is willing to sell me the Tubi system for $2770 shipped.

I will only get one shot at this, so any info or thoughts are appreciated.

    Thanks
    Steve

Where are you? I run tubi with gutted cats. Sounds great. WOT is to die for, and accelerating under load lets people know your coming. The only drawback is when starting the car from cold inside the garage. I keep my targa top off, and I get a good shot of fumes.

I have a Tubi on my Mondial T (same engine as 348). It is my third version of exhaust that I have tried. It is my favorite to date, but it is tame even without cats.

It's not loud by any means / gets lots of complements / high quality construction.

Drive with Tubi and test pipes. Hands down the best combo. (IMO) Try Auto Illusions in PA for price on a TUBI. They are a independent performance shop, and they are a Tubi dealer as well. (412) 264-2303 Ask for Rich or Tim. They got mine and installed everything as well.

Clearly the best sound I have heard coming out of any 348. (just my opinion) But since I live in "The Peoples Republic of California" , the idea of re-catting, and de-catting a car every two years, does not appeal to me.

Looking forward to the comparison. Oh, and ............... BLACK 348's RULE!
