I do. It needs some rust repair and a paint job. I'm gonna try my had at body work..as soon as I get time. Unfortunately it is (at least) project car number three for me, so it might be a while.

Its for sale but I still like it so I don't try too hard. That first pic in the post above is from last summer. It looks the same as 5 years ago so I don't bother taking many new pics. Here are some from some recent Fiat/Lancia events I'll steal from the interweb.

Awesome Dave. Question, why the hood pins on the front hood? Since it lays with the wind? Or did you remove the hood latch mech during your work?

Have you ever had one not release? Think it happened in the rear latch of a pretty much stock Gold 76 I had. Remember having to jack it up to come from the underside and it wasn't easy. No hope of doing that if the front latches didn't release. I just like keeping the cars simple.

Nah, my Scorpion was always tip-top in the hatch release area. Funny, the previous owner replaced the release latch (the one in the cockpit) with one from what I assumed was a Ferrari 308. It had the cavallino on it.

My Scorpion (#1019) was sold to Warren in Calgary, AB...and I found out last year that it had since moved along to another Lancisti in Calgary.

I started the YahooGroups Lanciascorpion when I first bought my car. It never ceased to amaze me the amount of talent and knowledge on that mailing list......They are great cars. Maybe I'll get another one someday.

I learned today that a 1976 Scorpion I sold in 1999 is now available for sale. The fellow who bought it from me has recently passed away and his son emailed me asking if I know anyone looking to buy one. The fellow had a Lancia Montecarlo in the Middle East and became my neighbor here in the states and would stop by weekly pestering me to buy one of my Scorpions. The one I sold him is a gold 1976 with clean stock body and mild modified engine (34DMTR carb, Serra exhaust). It was in perfect running shape when I sold it but son's email says it needs work now.

PM me if interested and I'll provide widow's phone #.

luv the size and styling of the scorp....heres my 77 old car that i sold and being transported. I never fully finishing it... it went well enough though.

monte bumpers, had aquati mani, ansa header, dcnf42, adjust pully, euro piston, 2L, monte sump, waterpump, cams 42/82, ,springs, ronal, blah, blah, blah whatever else i dont recall.

2130lb wet, full interior, all metal and glass gtech 0-60 high 6 secs. on the track even with no booster, the brakes are a death trap. would be nice if the steering ratio was quicker too.

I had a blue 76 that was even faster.

moved on to other cars since but would like to get another one and finish it completely next time around if time and space ever allows. have some new tricks i would like to try out.

    cheers

Would anyone have any interest in a decent '76 Scorpion? White, red interior, 70k miles, stock and original. Same Pacific Northwest family ownership for 27 years. Last ran 5 years ago and was running pretty well when it was put away into the garage. Was very unrusty as I remember it save for that area around the vent on the front bonnet.

I actually drove this car in 1988 when it was my (at the time) girlfriends mom's car. I remember it sure seemed a lot slower than the '77 Scorpion I had at the time with dual carbs, cams and exhaust. The mom then sold it to her son about 10 years ago.

Can and will have pics very soon. Any idea what I should ask for this pup?
