Don't own a Ferrari, yet :) It all started with Miami Vice, television series not a movie. I was just a kid but I still remember hot Miami nights, beautiful girls, and Ferraris of course. Nice to be here.

    PS
Yeah, that FIA decision is criminal. I have a couple of posts on my blog about it: http://italiansupercars.blogspot.com/

    Hi,
my name is darossi. Im seriously interested in Ferraris, both race cars and street cars. Thats the only brand for building fast cars without any compromise i think.
As i dont own a ferrari, i cant post must information about them here in this forum, so there are less postings of me here at now.

Greetings to all ferrari owners and fans about.

    Hi, y'all
I ve been lurking for quite a while, as the Ferrari in my profile is actually my dad's. I love the car and hope to get a decent job to make her mine someday. It is a 1965 330 GT 2+2. I remember my first toy ferrari was a 330p3/4 (still have it). When I was 13, I was driven around Road America in a 330 GTS. Even back then I wanted the guy to go faster and hear the motor. My dream drive is to drive her out west to California. I can only imagine how beautiful the sky looks when it is reflected off of the long hood and you can enjoy day after day of driving her.

Well, I've been lurking here for a few months.

Currently turning over the idea of getting into a 355 at sometime in the not-too-distant future. I'm a longtime Ferrari fan, and the 355 is a personal favorite. Lots of research to do though, so I'm just lurking and learning.

    Hi everybody.

I've been thinking about getting a Ferrari, ideally a 355 GTB, and figured this was the place to start learning. Typical story here - drooled over one in my youth (40 now) and am afraid such a car may be out of my league. I just finished reading Eric B's (potxoli) thread about his 30K checkup on his 348(!) Intimidating stuff...

Anyways, I already owe the board a "thank you"; a quick search answered a basic question about the 355 for sale in Buffalo on eBay.

Look forward to chatting with you folks. I've owned a couple of Lotus cars in the past, so if I can help at all in this area let me know.

    - Kevin

Hello Ferrari Chat community. My name is Chris and I currently live in Boulder CO. I am 23 years old and I have Ferrari Rosso Red in my veins. When I was five years old I was given a framed poster of a Testarossa, I never looked back. Currently my four walled bedroom is draped head to toe with Ferrari stuff, Schumacher posters, Ferrari flags, 1/18 scale models, magazine cut outs... You get the point. I work for NAPA Auto Parts and I am lucky enough to have a couple of customers that own Ferraris. I rode in a 1999 360 6spd. a couple of weeks ago, easily the best day of my current life. I also got to ride in a 1984 308, one of my all time favorite bodies. Great cars owned by great guys who love to share Ferrari love with a young guy whose heart jumps out of his chest every time he sees one. Just learned about Ferrari Chat a couple of months ago and have been surfing around absorbing info like a sponge. Seems like there are a lot of very knowledgeable people that post here and I am constantly trying to learn every thing I can about the company, the people, and of course the cars. Im sure patience will pay off some day and I will own a Ferrari of my own like most of you guys. Hope to make some friends around here, Talk to you soon!!

I'm new to the Ferrari chat world, but have been around cars all of my 32 years.

My dad is an old-school hot rodder and growing up I was surrounded by Camaros, Chevelles, Corvettes, a Mustang here and there...you get the idea. Unfortunantly I did not inherit his wrenching talents, always more interested in driving the cars than how they work. This has all changed recently, as we are working on a 63 Impala together.

Car wise, I do not own a Ferrari (yet) but have my heart set on a 348 or 355 in the next 5-10 years (I'm an conservative realist). I did purchase my first dream car, a 1994 Acura NSX, 6 months ago and consider myself fortunate to own one of the best examples of this amazing vehicle. I believe Honda made the car near perfect from day one and am commited to maintianing the car in near factory configuration and condition, an ideology pretty rare with other NSX owners (but not so much Ferrari owners from my observations).

Anyway, I live in the North Georgia area and am always up for a drive if anyone is in the area (especially if your bringing a 348, 355, or 360) :) , just pst me

Hello all my name is Gregg Travis and I live in Hou,TX. Been a motorhead for 40 of my 43yr's and a Ferrari enthusiast since I was about 13yr's old, motorcycle nut up till then, and have been trying to work for Ferrari every since LOL! I drove MR2's for 23yr's because they are mid-engined and as close too a Ferrari as I could get at the time. Really looking forward to being a productive member of this community and learning a whole lot along the way.

My one and only ride in a Ferrari was in an old boss's 328GTS but I count that experience as one of my most cherished memorie's.

    Great to be here,

Well, I’m not really a “lurker” as I definitely post, I never have “introduced myself, so here goes:

My name is Bill, I'm 39 with only a mild case of "mid-life crisis," and at the moment I make my money as a National Accounts rep for a custom order blinds company. I say “at the moment” as I am also working on a consulting/speaking career in the customer service realm. Any comments or suggestions on this are welcome, so feel free to PM me.

I am married to an incredible woman, Kristy, who is very supportive of my car habit. We don’t yet own a Ferrari, but we do own several nice cars. We currently live in Ijamsville, MD, though we hope to move to Oak Ridge TN sometime in the next several years.

Her daily driver is a Mazda Miata, though it isn’t in the best of shape on the outside as her daily commute takes her to Washington DC. I drive my company car most of the time, but on weekends we use my 1989 ASC/Mclaren. The ASC is one of 247 built in 1989, and the only one in yellow. It gets a lot of looks and “thumbs-up,” something I never expected; after all it is just a fancy Mustang!

The pride of my meager collection is my 1972 Oldsmobile 442 convertible. I have been building it for nearly 10 years, but it’s almost done! I am putting it together in a “pro-touring” style, which is to say that I have modernized it quite a bit. I have added better suspension, C-6 ZO6 Corvette front brakes, 454 Chevrolet engine with electronic fuel injection, and a 5 speed. On the inside it will have real teak inserts on the dash, 6-way power seats, tilt-tele steering column, and a beautiful sounding stereo. I wanted an “up-scale” or “executive” hot rod with all of the creature comforts of a more modern sports sedan.

I would love to replace the ASC/McLaren with a Ferrari one day, but as it has to be a convertible, and has to have a trunk, I may end up with a well built replica. It has to have a trunk so it can be used as a fun-on-a-trip car for my wife and I, but also so it can carry her wheelchair. My wife has multiple sclerosis, and though she walks pretty well, she still needs the chair when going places like car shows or shopping malls. I have looked into the California Spyder replica (Ferris Bueller car) and the Daytona Spyder replicas. I think I’ll go with the Daytona though, since it goes on a Corvette chassis, and therefore gets around any registration issues. I’d look into a real Daytona, but who would want to leave one in a parking lot. Oh yeah, and there is also the 1 million dollar price tag!

I am also an avid motorcyclist. I currently own a 1969 Triumph Bonneville, and a 1993 Suzuki VX800. My wife and I met on a motorcycle ride put on by a friend of mine. She was my passenger for all of the time we dated, as well as the first several years of our being married, until MS took her ability to ride for any period of time. Several years ago, she bought me a Harley Davidson Dyna Glide T-Sport, though I sold that earlier this year so as to purchase the ASC. No need for a big cruiser when my cruising partner can’t ride! The VX is a fun bike for me though, and she looks great in the passenger seat of the ASC!

    Well, that’s me!
    Bill

So, I have been lurking here for a few years, and rarely post. I currently have a 911 and a new Vette. I have come close to buying a couple of Ferrari's over the years, but never pulled the trigger. I am afraid of the Ferrari reliability and maintenance. The 911 is a blast, but reliable....although it is no Ferrari.

I am a dedicated tifosi, never miss F1 races and would love to hang out with the Central Florida Ferrari owners, but I feel like I would be a poser. (Not due to the owners, but I would feel odd).

    Thanks for reading.

Hi, my name is Bill. I have been on f-chat for about a month now--right about when a long-time dream came true. I am now the proud owner of a 1981 308 GTBi in red/tan. I'm in my early 60's, in good health and love cars. The 308 will take a major portion of my time in the future as I learn the in and outs of regular maintenance and PM. I expect the vast bank of knowledge available on this forum will be of great help to me. Driving the 308 is the biggest thrill I've had in a while. In the corners she seems to say "give me more, more. more". I love it!!!!!!

Other projects are: I am building a 31 Model A roadster hot rod and have a TVR 2500M waiting restoration.

Thanks for the welcome. See you around the forum.

Hello - I joined Fchat last year, and have been lurking here off and on since then. I thought it was time to introduce myself.

I'm Rick and live in Tempe, Az. I am a Mechanical Engineer, and took early retirement (55) last December. The first Ferrari I owned was a 275GTB that I purchased in 1978, and then spent the next 12 years restoring it. I sold it in '92, and took a 79 308GT4 in partial trade and also picked up a Lamborghini 400GT 2+2. I sold the 308 about 4 years, but still have the Lambo. It's ready to restore (ie, I took it all apart and it's mostly in boxes). I also owned an Iso Grifo before getting the 275, and also owned a 64 XKE convertible for a short while before getting the Lambo.

I decided to try to pick up another Ferrari after retiring, and thought about picking up a 328, but have decided to try to find a 355GTS, or a GTB if I have too hard of a time finding a GTS.

This is my first post, but you can now plan on having me add my $0.02 more often now!

I've spent a lot of time on the Porsche boards but have always lusted for a Ferrari...some day. I've never been in one, driven one or owned one. This definitely needs to change.
