That's what you will find for the most part. Many of the materials are similar. Search around for artists like Fred Suber. Here's a link:

    http://www.suberfactory.com/

You can email Fred and ask him for sources.

I used to build diorama's far more than I do now and goes way, way back in time to when I made model soldiers. I suppose the disadvantage of doing it with car models where all the doors and panels open is that they make the model 'one sided', because inevitably there is only one good direction to view the whole arrangement from, so there is little point in hinged doors etc. But I still add figures and a few bits and pieces where appropriate.

So it is the model soldier field where I would also recommend you look maranelloboy05. Buy a couple of military modelling magazines and see just how far people go in detail painting of figures and technique. Magazines or books usually give tips on figure painting (as does the Denizen web site), and you can buy other useful products from military model dealers such as realistic metallised paints, weathering powders, and even scale nuts, bolts and rivets. Model railway dealers are also good for grass, bushes, fences, trees and embossed plastic sheet. The later comes in textures ranging from tiles and bricks to cobblestones and is used as the basis for groundwork or walls. And back on the car front, I think it is Virage decals that do decal sets of patches and logo's for drivers and mechanics.

Cotton balls work great if you want to make a car look like it's smoking it's tires. It takes a while to make it look just right, but once it's done it looks real.

I was hopeing to do a Ferrari dealership with showroom and service area, but with 1/18s it would be a little too big. I am going to make a few smaller ones first over the next month or so. Thanks for all the help guys.
