I think that's a bad assumption to make. I travel twice a year out of the country and I'm others do the same.

Should have thought about that before you guys outsourced everything.

Ahhh...for a couple of grand extra on the trip, thats nothing to worry about. Instead of 2 for 2008, make it 1 now....keep the money at home....its better here anyhow (longer straighter roads) :p

Soon Americans will keep their savings in pesos and a Canadian unemployed will be living the high life in Vegas with their Canadian unemplyment checks. US dollar is becoming the rouble of North America (which is an unfair comparison since rouble will eventually become stronger then the US dollar.)

The Fed's don't seem to be doing anything about it. Whether they can't or are just trying to prop up exports, or some other agenda is the question. There are a lot of downward forces now.

Oh well, soon it will be one currency anyway in North America. The Amero. All part of the North American Union.

It is all cyclical. About 5-6 years ago there were numerous articles about how the whole world should adopt the US dollar because of its strength. After the election the Iraq / Afghan mess will be scaled back or cut off completely, the dollar will stabilize, and eventually go back up as other countries' problems eventually get reflected in their currency. No big deal. I just have to wait a few more years to take a trip to Europe so it makes sense.

Am sure many of you diversified long ago. Sorry and all guys, yet if you are still in USD and only now looking to diversify and benefit you are probably already way too late. Hopefully you are well-prepared... There are various reasons the 308 and other toys are no longer here. Please don't ask for financial advice, will not offer any to people who are not *very* close friends.

When i read the other day that the famous supermodel Gisele Bundchen has requested all 2008 contracts be made in euros, it made we wonder if in the past 3 days we have seen the low for the dollar. Time will tell I guess, but the more "airtime" the weak dollar gets, the more I think it's time for the tide to change.
