I think that is a little optimistic - but I could be wrong. Unless the seller submits a fake bid (which case you'll see it relisted with some lame "fell thru" story), I don't see this going over 75k on eBay. $0.02
eBay---- If the seller feels the price will not reach what he wants, the seller can 'end' the auction early. They do put a time limit on when this can be done, I think within 2 hours of the close of the auction, I could be wrong about the time frame, but it is done OFTEN. But, in any case....... An email is sent to all the HAPPY bidders stating there was an 'error' in the listing, or some other excuse ... then the item is magically listed again.... This is done with many 'no reserve' auctions, whether it is toilet paper or a Ferrari, or even a High Mileage Nero 355 Spider
Kinda-sorta on topic....I am the new owner of the blue GTS from Naples Motorsports that is showing the odo issue on carfax. From the time I bought the car, up to this morning, the carfax report actually changed. It used to have mileage reports listed that did show a mileage issue, now it just states a NAM title was issued. "A NAM title is issued when the owner discloses to a DMV mileage fraud, a broken odometer or that the actual mileage of this vehicle is unknown." Rather interesting. I have already begun to collect paper work to show that this was only listed like this due to it being a euro car and read in Kilometers then changed to Miles. I didn't put much "value or lack-of" on this issue when I bought the car. It was bought to drive and enjoy, not worry about what the car-fax or what Florida DMV says. Not planning on selling it (not any time soon), so this issue is really a non-issue to me. This black GTS is nice. I would hope this car reaches a minimum of 70k. TT
I agree those F355 nero spiders are getting more rare by the minute.... Dang ............with a garage like that ..... who needs a house!!!! I'm single I only need a hammock and a shower....... uh maybe just a hammock....... !!!
Auction canceled with around 13 hours left (12 hours is the cutoff -- can't end an auction with bids after there are less than 12 hours left). I believe highest bid was at $56.5k at the time.
don't you hate dealers that do this, most bids on No Reserve auctions are in the last 12 hours if not the last 5 minutes.
I do not want to be rude, but I may need to be building something similar. What is an estimate cost for something like that.
It's been back on eBay for awhile: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-355-BERLINETTA-COUPE-6-SPEED-EURO-CAR_W0QQitemZ280172141804QQihZ018QQcategoryZ157044QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Steve
AHHHH!! I love white!! If there are other threads on this car, if someone would be so kind to PM me on them so I do not hi-jack this thread I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Looking specifically for a white coupe. If you can add a roof and paint your car white all for the same price, we are in business.
