I bought my 348 a few months ago and am thinking about having a custom turbo built for it. Is there any weak links in the engine that I should replace? I.E pistons etc? What can I use for engine management? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Obviously due to the high compression you will want to keep the boost down to a sedate level. Heat management is going to be key. I am moving down the normal aspiration path, but charging is always fun to think about. Naturally, your ECU is not up to the task of fuel delivery, so you should look to reprogrammed chips. Also, you might want to upgrade the fuel lines at the lower filter attachments (per group77racing's instructions) as you will find in a search here and your injectors. Ask Plugzit for the part numbers for 24 lb. injectors compatable with the 348.

Hopefully I will get started with the project right after New Years. I am looking to get it to around 400BHP so a modest boost level is all that will be required. Is there a hack to get into the factory ECU to do the programming from a laptop?
