What colour are Daytona wheels?

    do's anyone know the correct silver code to paint Daytona wheels? I could always paint them body colour British Racing Green.[only joking]

    Not a colour code but this is from Keith Blumel's "Original V12"

    "The standard wheels are five spoke 7.5 x 15 inch alloys with a satin silver paint finish under clear lacquer."

    They are grey, not silver. The english translation of the colour is "metallic cast iron grey". The original paint code has been posted here before and I think you will find it somewhere on daytonaregistry.com

    I could not find the matching code in the computer systems of any of the major paint brands so ended up taking a colour match of an original, never re-painted wheel. The result looks grey indoors, silver in bright sunlight.

    I used a gloss colour coat then a satin clear coat, which looks period but the satin clear has a slightly higher resistance to stone chips than gloss clear.
