It hasn't. But it will eventually next year. So far the HD Concept is out and soon there will be the GT5 Prologue.
Since we're on the subject of the XBox360: I noticed in Forza2, that it seems to support multiple monitors. Does anybody know how that works? Do you need multiple XBoxes and network them or can you connect multiple monitors onto one XBox360? I envision a nice 3 monitor racing sim with peripheral vision. In the style of the Arcade version of F355 Challenge.
that'd be cool! i was playing F355 Challenge just a couple days ago for the first time in years while i was waiting for our movie - Superbad - to start.
Found it: http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/someone-has-a-nice-job/the-ultimate-xbox-360-racing-setup-263810.php This setup can be achieved in forza 2 with 3 xbox 360s, 3 copies of the game and three monitors. They mentioned the setup on AOTS earlier this week. Here's a brief overview of how to set this up: 1. Get 3 Xbox 360's and 3 TV's and 3 copies of Forza2 2. Network the 3 Xboxes together (I used an old wired Linksys router + a Linksys WET-11 to hook the router to my wireless net) 3. Plug each Xbox into a TV 4. Hook the sound system and your wheel into the middle Xbox 5. On each Xbox, start Forza2, go to Options | Multiscreen Setup and set the center Xbox as the Host, the other 2 as clients. You will then be asked to reboot (yes, it's made by Microsoft) 6. When the clients boot, they'll automatically go into a wait state until the center box starts a race. 7. On the center box, pick any race you like & watch the side screens automagically respond by loading the same track. 8. Enjoy 180 degrees of luscious racing immersion. --------------------------------------------------------------- I would probably move the seat closer to the monitors and angle them more to get more of a peripheral vision feeling and immersion. sheesh. one computer, 3 monitors and Live For Speed have been capable of doing that for about 5 years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLm951nV8KE
+ 4.2 its true! and if your do you have lcd tv or just some flat screen, the graphics are really awesome.
I have both long term ps3, here and now 360. Here is the big diffrence between the two I'm on my second 360 getting the red ring of death. Each lasted about 10 months, now i'm without it for about a month. This is the dirty little truth most 360 owners forget to tell. My ps3 is over a year old no problems at all it doesn't glitch or freeze.
Get a Wii and wait for the price of the other two to halve before So many just discounts the Wii as "Kiddie" or "Non-gamer." This stance is moronic and short sighted. Also, most people can't seem to realize the fact that there is no reason that you have to be standing up, flailing around like a mad man. The most I ever do is just flick my wrist. Works every time. Not to mention the Virtual Console. So many of the greatest games ever created, just a quick download away. And with more getting added every week, you can never get bored. The Wii is capable of more innovative, intuitive, and involving controls than anything else. Go play Metroid Prime 3. THAT is how a game is meant to be played.
I just (finally) picked up a PS3. I got a used 60gb from gamestop with Call of Duty for......... $336!!!!!! I traded in all my old stuff and gamestop have a special where if you trade in 5 or more games you get 30% extra credit for trade-ins. My friend who works there then added his 10% discount and then applied his discount for the system. That price includes the console, new COD4 and a $60 year warranty ($50 with his discount). I'm pretty happy Unfortunatley, i have to wait 'till December 25th to open it
I was wondering do you really need such a large hard drive with the PS3 or XBOX 360, do people fill them up with their own music or just games, demos, & the on line expansion packs? I'd like to get the a PS3 but there is such a lack of driving games & I'm not sure if it will work with a wheel.
I have no idea what the size of the drives is in either box and I really don't care. I use them to play games and the drives basically store the progress. Doesn't need much disc space, but sure is nicer than those pesky memory cards. PS3 currently has only one decent driving game: DiRT Hopefully before the end of the year we'll get GT5 Prologue. Later that Ferrari only racing game is supposed to come out and of course next year the mother of all racing games: GT5 PS3 supports the Logitech FFB wheel just as PS2 did. Works fine. DiRT has FFB through the wheel. If you look at the XBox360, the reality is, that there too only one decent racing game exists: Forza 2
I played the Wii a few weeks ago and I'm getting one for my little brother this christmas. Seriously, it's just so fun to play! The virtual console is probably the best thing about it in my opinion. I would rather play my NES or SNES instead of the PS3.
You're on to something here. I downloaded Mortal Kombat II (yes, the classic) on PS3 and had more fun with it than any other ultra fancy fighting game on PS2/PS3/Xbox/360!!
I'm getting a PS3 on monday. I cannot wait. In my opinion it is way better than a 360. For a while I was thinking about a 360 over the PS3, but once you play it you realize how much better it is than the 360. You get a blue ray disc player and free online gameplay with the ps3. You have to pay 50 bucks a year for online and an extra 150 bucks for an HD-DYD player for the 360. SO when you think about it, to get a comparative system from microsoft it would be more than a ps3.
COD4 is absolutely amazing. I cannot put it down. Honestly, the most fun game I have ever played. Mark
So...a friend calls me up and says he's throwing a party in December. "Would you come out and dj for us?" he asks, adding he "doesn't have much money" to pay me. I said, "fine, it's Xmas, I'm in a weird mood, and I'll come out there for the following: a new unopened XBox 360 with the 20g hd, a copy of Forza 2, Halo 3, Madden 08 an extra controller + HDMI cables, a room at the Westin, gas money and food costs." Done deal. I think he was relieved because normally I would charge several thousand dollars to show up. I'm pretty stoked I'm getting an XBox 360. In hindsight, I think I might have been able to also score a PS3 with some games if I had asked. Next time. The point is I never ever spend money on myself, so this is very exciting!! Can't wait! RMX
+1 I played the beta and was blown away and now have been spending WAAAAAYYY too much time playing the full game. It's ridiculous how much fun it is!
Played Halo 3 all weekend (2 weekends ago) and picked up COD4 this past weekend. Really enjoying COD4.
Got an xbox 360 a week ago. Really like Forza 2 and just picked up CoD4 a few days ago, but haven't had time to play.
