I heared from a very competend person that they sold some cars without providing the official title which had been hold by the bank.....! As we say here: "If you take away 50% of the bad rumours, 50% are left - and they "s***k" a lot........!"

    Ciao!

As much as I want to say that I am supprised, I am not. It seems that its the way the business is led today, and it all crashes on the back of customers. Luckily, I had better luck when I did business with them.

You say "what about the personal opinion of the buyer?" followed by "you really think id have lots of great things to say about this thing which is nothing more than a "fighter jet" bodykit for the LP640 and with a factory K&Nfilter that gives it 10extra hp and it all comes at a price of 1.6mil?" you are not a personal buyer so the latter statement is irrelevant. The 20 people that did put a deposit down are not complaining, the rumours of people wanting out of their contracts are just that....rumours. It's all about exclusivity, if you want to spend your money on a garage full of other cars, buona fortuna, I wish you the best.

LAMBORGHINI REVENTÓN TAKES ON A TORNADO

The Ghedi (Brescia) military airport was the setting this week for an extraordinary acceleration race between a Tornado aircraft [A200-A] provided by the airbase, and the Lamborghini Reventón driven by an official Lamborghini test driver.

The fighter pilot and the Lamborghini test driver challenged each other on the 3000 m-long runway.

The Reventón took the lead in the first leg of the race, but the Tornado caught up in the last few metres, taking off and flying over the Reventón that was going at a speed of over 340 km/h.

The Ghedi military base was chosen as the venue at which to present the Lamborghini super car to international TV networks. The ideal environment in which to emphasise the Reventón’s aeronautic styling, the airbase was made available to Lamborghini by General Carlo Landi of the Fifth Department of the Stato Maggiore dell A.M, and Colonel Aurelio of the Sixth Formation.

The Reventón’s design – entirely designed by the Centro Stile Lamborghini and perfected down to the finest detail in close collaboration with Lamborghini’s R and D management - drew its inspiration from the world’s fastest aircraft in modern aviation.  It is from this heritage that the Reventón has drawn its extremely precise, technically impressive style with sharp edges, exact lines and clean surfaces, along with its exclusive new matte grey-green exterior colour.

There are only 20 Reventón cars available, each with a price tag of 1 million euros plus taxes. All are already sold and will be built and delivered in 2008.

The Lamborghini Reventón, officially presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, also won the “Most Beautiful Automobile in the World 2007” award this month in the special models category, and is destined to become a new legend in the fascinating history of the House of the Raging Bull.

Nice photos! I strongly assume that one of this jet-fighters must be included in the silly price tag of the REVENTON.

Lamborghini did exactly the same thing with the LP640. Motoring journalists were invited to come and test drive the Murci at the airbase and witness the race against the Tornado. On the day of the event, however, only the Italian press were allowed to drive on the airbase and see the race. The rest of the world's motoring press were sent away. Fifth Gear was part of this and managed to get a Verde Ithaca LP640 for bike racer Shawn "Shakey" Byrne to take on a test drive. VBH mentions the airbase snafu in the resulting review...

The whole thing is ridiculous! Only a copied PR-gag that brings nothing to car and possible owners! So: ah-bah!

How did the Reventon win that award, as there are so many other cars that are more beautiful?

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

I bet you would get the same result with a "regular" murci......since the "revultion" is a regular murci under the pretty dress.

I really shouldn't say " pretty dress" as it's ugly.

I love this car... Who knows if Lamborghini SPA is making more then 10 additional ponies.... "At least 650 hp" is official.

In addition, the interior on this thing is other worldly... and the stlying has really grown on me. I don't know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to seeing this mutha on the street next summer (no.12/20 is scheduled to arrive in my hometown)
