... Several months ago I replaced my sway bar bushings with ES polyurethane detailed here:

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160959&highlight=bushing

I had to modify them substantially for the front end links. After 1 month of use, the front lower bushings (see pic #1 red X) popped out and the end link was now riding on the bolt and squeaking like crazy

    So now what??

I contacted FChatter jh355 and bought two of his black "silentblok" poly bushings for $35.

Now to the task of removing the residual "silentblok" sleeves that were still in the end links (see pic #2). I tried my trusty 1 ton arbor press (pic#3) and absolutely no way that sucker is coming out with only 1 ton of pressure. Time to buy some more shop equipment . . so off to Harbor Freight I went to get their 12 ton shop press (pic#4) on sale for $119.99 with arbor plates. Assembly was easy. I was now fully confronted with the possibility that my new 12 ton press would quite possibly crack my end links much like a DDT contaminated Eagle egg if I was not REALLY careful. I looked up the replacement end link prices on several sites and they were around $300 EACH, YIKES!

OK, take a deep breath and trust the equipment. After a little fiddling with the positioning of the end link on the arbor plate and using an appropriately sized socket the old sleeve came out (pic #5 & 6) with virtually NO drama :D

Now for insertion. . . .uhh .. of the new bushings (pic #7). Again more fiddling with the parts, appropriate sized socket and arbor plates to get them perfectly aligned (pic #8) and with a gentle 12 tons of pressure, the job is complete (pic #9) :)

Thanks very much to jh355 for the great parts and quick shipping. Now it's time to replace the rear upper end link ES bushings with jh355's silentbloks since they are also deforming and about to pop out - live and learn!

Great to see your problem solved. jh355 has great parts sourcing access, and what he can't find, he can manufacture, with great skill and quality.
