I was going to hold off to get a better picture, but was too busy running around during daylight hours for the inspection and plates. She is my new '82 308 GTSi (yeah, yeah, she's not a QV or carb), and seems to be in really good condition- only a major service and a few 'standard' things (brakes, clean up those slow windows, etc.). Thanks much to Jimshadow for putting me on to this car! It reduced my search to about 3 months. :)

She arrived yesterday (I had a friend transport her personally). The shocking thing was the paint- it is original, but looks like it was done yesterday!

Thanks all. Do you mean MORE trips to the garage to look at it....errr... check the tools and stuff I mean? I will try to get a couple of pics tomorrow to post.

No smog problems- she is 25, so there was no emissions test required- just a safety. I know that it would not likely pass smog, but it turned out to not be a concern. :)

Jim- I will start the major in the next few weeks. I want to get a little driving in before I tackle that (and take her off the road for several weeks of working on it). I was also hoping to track down a shop manual for the 2V 308, but could not find one- does anyone have a suggestion on where to look?

    looking good.

Love the front spoiler and wish i had one.

Just take the door to the garage off it's hinges that way the wife won't hear it open everytime. Just tell her your working on getting the door plum or something.

Congrats on your beautiful "new" 308!

There's a guy on eBay that sells CDs and print outs on almost everything. I got my parts book for my Mondial from him three years ago. Sorry, I don't have a name for you but I'm sure that if you do the scroll down, you'll find what you need.

    Drive in great health,

    Cheers, Hank
