Ferrari of San Francisco uses the Cheveron Station on Miller Avenue, in Mill Valley, near Tam High. I've had my cars done there several times, without any grief. They know the cars, and get it done without any drama. If Brian smog tests that's great, but I don't think he does.

I am very happy with the garage :)

I showed up at 11 and they were ready to let me drive her into the bay, they remembered talking to me and the details of the car.

Told me to come back 20-30 mins later but I walked by about 15 mins later and she was parked up already. Sailed through the test, significantly below all of the average pass levels.

Car was as spotless as when I left her.

Highly recommended, I told them you'd be coming :)

DMV appointment for next week, fingers crossed.

What about in the Los Gatos/Saratoga area? I'm stashing a couple cars down here and need to find a shop that knows the cars... ;-)

Went there yesterday. Dropped off the car, took a bit longer this time as the guys who smog tests f-cars and other sports cars was out. Took about 30 min total, which was fine because I just walked up and down miller on my cell phone. Car passed without problems.

I'll also highly recommended them. Tell them the guys on Fchat sent you!

Car now fully registered in CA. Spent a nice 2 hours at the DMV. 15min searching for a 2nd set of VIN numbers on the car. For the record: the 2nd VIN is hiding under the passenger side seat stamped into the floor panel. Fun times!

At least now I can cruise around without worrying about having invalid plates.

Funny thing is: A GT2 came up behind me next for inspection. Was really fun comparing cars and talking weekend road trips with the other driver as the cell phone camera operators at the DMV started to collect and take photos.

If you went to the Corte Madera DMV, you got what you deserved. They are so stupid, that even when the see the VIN, they don't realize they are looking at it. Place is populated by morons, and sub-morons. DMV in SF, while a little harder to get into, has competent people.

I'll say this about it, the folks were nice. They could have given me a hard time for registering an out of state Ferrari but they didn't. I wouldn't exactly recommend them, but I also wouldn’t tell people to stay away.

why would they give you a hard time about registering an out of state car? as long as you have title and smog, you're fine.
