Anyone see the light green series 2 400i in the latest Hagerty newsletter? The caption said it was in the northeast. Interesting color; don't think I've ever seen one in that color. Anyone know if it belongs to an fchatter?
Good eye Dave, very unusual....looks like it Tour de France in your neck of the woods in the past week or so (Texas 1000/Nov.9-14). http://vintagerallies.com/texas/
I ran with them for a few miles http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137212333&postcount=871
Can someone cut and paste the image or a link here? I'm away from my computer and the email with the newsletter info is on it. Regards, Art S.
Its in the printed version Art, not the on-line version. I'll scan it later tonight or tomorrow and post it for you.
Here you go Art. If you want a hi res version of the scan I uploaded one for you here: www.circlesvineyards.com/DavesStuff/hagerty hi res.jpg If you wouldn't mind would you reply here once you've downloaded it? Even though it is my company my webmaster can be a bit btichy when I use too much space on the companies' website. Its one of the penalties I pay for empowering employees. Go figure. Dave, Got it - Thanks! Now, is that the light green one that I'm in love with (the one that was in Forza a few years ago) or is it silver? Regards, Art S.
Well I can tell what cars it isn't. #24221 is a green car , but its a series 1 so not the pictured car. #39773 is a dark green, again not the pictured car. I'm guessing it is either #40875 or #52665 (the Forza car).
Dave, My copy just arrived in the mail. If that car is a 5-speed; I think that would be my pick for my next car! Regards, Art S.
#40875 is an automatic However #52665 is indeed a 5-speed. Looks like you better drive up the coast and go cut a deal
I have the sea foam green one that was shown in Forza a while back. I can't tell for sure but the green one int the scan looks lke it has a little more yellow in it. What do you think ? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Art ..... well unfortunately its not for sale ! Mostly because I'm having too much fun playing with it. As I just posted on another thread I'm putting a modern short throw 5 speed w/ racing clutch into it. Hopefully getting a very low effort and fast gear change, also with some adjusted gearing to give it the kick off the lights that you don't get with original Ferrari gearing. The project should be complete by Xmas. Not sure where you are Art, but if you want to come by and test drive it early in the new year let me know. Its in Los Angeles.
Well lookie there! The one in Hagerty's newsletter is definetly not yours. The one pictured has rear quarter marker lights and yours doesn't. Back to square one. I wonder what car this is?
Tim, I'm on the east coast, but if I'm in LA, I'd love to take you up on your offer! Also, if you get to NJ (and its not in the shop) we can take a ride in my 330. Dave, Swing and a miss . While Tim's car is very nice, its not the one that I was thinking of. I think the last time we went through this, we decided that the car I'm looking for is in NY state. Also, I agree with Tim, the Forza car and the one pictured in the newsletter have a more yellow color. Regards, Art S.
Why not email the editor and see if he knows whose car it is? I've emailed the editor on the last issue and got a prompt response.
