i agree. it's not like Trulli outdrove Ralf to nothing, Trulli barely achieved anything at Toyota. nothing in fact. the highest place Toyota achieved this season is thru Ralf's 6th place fin.

IMO, i think i'd give Ralf a shot at the 2nd Mac seat. offer him a 1 yr deal, pending on his performance for that 1 yr. he's a winner before, and i don't think he became a useless driver overnight.

Perhaps not, but he is certainly a useless driver now.

...Ralf is DELUSIONAL...he wont even make it into Andreas slot car team! ;)

...he made an awful mistake...showing what a "gun-for-hire" he really is, the moment he KNEW he was getting sacked or DOWNPAYED he outperformed Trulli...ONLY THEN, he doesnt deserve the Toyota seat or anyother seat in F1, he got the TOYOTA seat based on his "experience"...being what a seat warmer?

...Ralf is heading DTM any minute...or even GP1...or even home.

The last time Ralfie was begging for the McLaren seat Ron Dennis was asked about him... He had a good laugh and said NO

Ralf would be my choice for Mclaren. I think he's worthy of a 10 year iron clad contract, and I'm surprised at the lack of support you're all giving him.

I remember the F1 Racing article where they went off on him because he refused to pose for pictures. He's an arrogant donkey who did some good in a good car but was highly overrated. The only way I see him doing good is if he's paid on commission on a per race basis.

If I remember correctly I think he actually told him that word for word! I remember laughing out loud when I read that.

Another driver f%$@#ed over by Ferrari. All those who think Massa will see out his 3 year deal ought to reflect on what happened to guys like Capelli at Ferrari.

Capelli was fun to watch in the Leyton House March back in the late 80s.

Yes. Enzo's attitude was definitely OLD School.

Let us hope that current management is more contemporary which it seems to be. Stepney of course would probably disagree, but then he is most likely going to jail. ;)

If I was Ron Dennis....I would try to get Kovalainen first...and if it doesn't work out, then I would go sign Ralf.
McLaren need an experienced driver....Ralf / Fisi / De la Rosa come in mind.

If I start now, do you think I could get everyone's signature on a letter to Ron that Ralf get the second seat ? BTW, Ivan sucked when he drove anything that wasn't Petty blue in F1.

Capelli drove for Ferrari after Enzo had already passed away.

Which means to me that Enzo's attitudes carried over into the team after he died. They were acting as they had been trained to and as they observed.

I believe things have changed. Luca is an up to date manager IMVHO. A good people person.
