Anyone know a Blue/red 355?

I considered this car when Hunting Ridge Motors had it. They had a near complete set of records and the car was in great shape. It was due for a major, this was a couple years ago now I think. Robbie's right somebody must have bought it and wrecked it because when I was looking at it the Carfax was clean. A shame......

 

The problem is.......it's still 'clean' on Carfax...

Maybe CarFax hasn't "caught up" with the damage yet. The auction lists the car as TMU, it appears, as well.

 

What's the current status of the blue 355 spyder? I remember when the dealer sold it to someone in California about a year ago. Sad to see they wrecked it. Is it currently for sale? Any other pics of the car in current condition?

Went up to the auction today for the 355 and saw it. Internet bidder bought and I believe paid too much, $41k to $42k with buyer's premium. Looks like the service was never done so she'll need the full service. Front bumper is toast as is the underside on drivers side of front undercover. Rear diffuser panels missing. Left rear suspension is toast as is the driveshaft. Muffler broken at the bracket. Wheel broken. Paint has some scuff marks. Some leather shrinkage on the dash. Seeing how nice F355 spiders are in the 60s with clear titles and good color combinations, this car seems to have sold high to me: Down time to repair, costs to repair and in the end a salvaged Ferrari. Then there are the unknowns. I know the car needs its service. We don't know whatever other damage the car has as they don't start the car for you at the auction. You can't even test the top to see if it works. The blue in the pictures from a year or two ago looks far better than it does now, notwithstanding the dirt. I think that blue works when under a bright sun light and when particularly detailed and polished. Otherwise, it looked dull and those pinstripes don't help. The dealers and buyers on the scene pretty much concurred someone paid too much for a salvage title ferrari needing repair.

 

Here's a F355 Spider for sale with rebuilt/salvage title. Say's it's "110%).
Guy is asking $56k "with extras".

Interestingly enough, I did a search on Ebay tonight (12/2) for 355 parts (random search...) and Specialized Italian Recycling has a BUNCH of red interior stuff for sale, seats, carpets, dash leather, etc. etc. etc.

I wonder if this Blue/Red got chopped up?

I could be wrong but there were two bidders from the Indy area on this car...one of them won it.

Car was a salvage and sold at auction. This guy bought it and obviously flipped the title.
Someone has to be crazy to pay $69k for this car.
