Thanks Stu....You're right . Here's a pic of the 735S Barchetta that I own (the Minics, Wells-Brimtoys, John Days, Mikansues, Grand Prix Models and FDSs etc are all at my house upstate along with my 1/43 Ferrari book) . The more recent one pictured is on ebay, which I confused with the 735. They are not the same...Jordan

I STILL think Bouissou is the best builder in 1/43rd scale in the world, but he ONLY does Bugattis...

The hood buckles actually can be buckled and unbuckled, and the engine hood louvers are real; not just painted on!!!

I first started dealing with Mr.Bouissou in 1984. At that time, he sold me models at between $300 and $350 each, as I was buying 4 or 5 at a time (15% discount from "public" price). Today, his models are between $3000 and $4000 EACH public price, depending on which car...

The first John Day model, number 100, was of the Carrera PA Ferrari 375. He did a factory built up version, which few know about, in addition to kits. It is the ONLY model that was ever available from John Day as a f actory built up. Even though it is not much better in quality than a Marc Europa GTO, it is worth something like $2000 IF you could ever find one. I only know of 3 in the whole world. I think only about 10 were made. The Marc Europa Ford GT is worth about the same thing, but again, I have no idea how many were made, and I have only ever seen one. It is about 1/38th rather than 1/43rd scale. Both versions or the Marc Europa Ferrari GTO are worth near $1000 if in mint boxed condition..the Marc Europa boxes are almost impossible to find...

    Best,
    Stu

Bison glue is a difficult adhesive to handle. It is similar to contact cement.

You need to try a different formula of super glue to avoid "ghosting". They do have gel like compounds in the line. I have been using "Zap" in the green bottle [zap a gap formula] for a long time now. It has very good adhesion and minimal fumes. For glass I use a number of different water based products and clear formulas like G-S Hypo Cement [cleans up with alcohol]. Another could "correction" material for hazy vac forms and die cast glas is a thin coat of Future floor wax...it looks scary when applied but flows out nicely and clarifys poor glass like magic. It also works great on clear coat corrections.

By the way, the Trinity models are resin with a few metal parts, not all white metal.
