I want to thank the photographer for putting car 127s photo on this site. We do not get a chance to see our car in the event. Thanks again. Does anyone know what happened to the 308GTB with the ENZO number plate?

Pretty sure I saw it either Saturday or Sunday after it left the road on a tricky double road split right hand bend and hit a tree on the passenger side.

It was in the bushes with the tree sort of wrapped partly around the car when we went past.

Yeah, F1 shifted CH's and GT's suck off the line. We've campaigned hard to get the state series intermarque races to switch to rolling starts but officialdom won't budge.

Back in deliverance county safe and sound after a fun time in sadelaide. Pretty pleased with our effort despite losing 21 minutes to find a relay had popped out which cut the engine during the first race stage of day 4. Was quite exciting fanging it downhill and the engine dies leaving us with no power steering or brakes. Got to the bottom of the hill and had a choice of going left into yellow tape and spectators or right which was uphill. Honked the horn and flashed the lights and went left without skittling anyone. Even though we were gutted by the problem, we looked at it phylosophically....we couold have been going uphill when the engine cut out and got slammed from behind.

Finished all remaining stages and ended up on the finishing ramp to get the checkered flag. As we were about to drive off, had one dude telling us to go more left and another the opposite. Ended up dropping the front left wheel off the ramp with me about to go ape ****e. With 10 blokes lifting and me reversing very slowly, got back on all four wheels and parked the car. Simon came up and said come over and have a drink, you look like you need it. (very true).

As we are going in to the drink area for competitors, this security dude looks at Tony (my navigator) and says "only drivers allowed". Well, I'm about to blow up and drop him and tell him (on his way down) what he can do with CA. Fortunately, Simon was more level headed and said to the dude "navigators can come too ". This saved me going for assault and the dump security dude from a very sore head.

Funny looking back now but at the time was a big PITA. Thanks Simon from keeping things cool that could have got very ugly.

Your choice but I would suggest you tear up the paper work and fill out the one for the full comp. The rookie section only covers a small part of the total course and finishes half way through the overall event. In view of the logistics and cost of getting to the deep south, I think it's much better value and fun to do the full comp at your own comfort level. Praise alah and bat suckers!

You might be lucky, the hard drive with all my pics and vids from the East Tce epilogue where you fell off the ramp are on a hard drive that died...

In that case, we should have a minute's silence for your hard drive....oh, and praise alah too!

Didn't spot you taking pics of that episode but saw heaps of others clamering for a good position to take pics of the mighty beama that had been led astray by dumb "officials". As I mentioned earlier, quite funny now but I was certainly not amused at the time.....just ask Simon.
