    You can also see the number plate on the opening credits when the 308 pulls onto the road. It wasn't personalized it was a normal plate

    Ya... that is a scene from the pilot. If you go back and watch that scene, he removes the top and pushes it back. (as if into a storage compartment) But you and I both know that there is no such compartment. the top simply slides off the back of the car and he pulls off the side of the road (the scene from the credits). Man I loved that show.
