yes indeed ive done the nurburgring ala boston st all too many times.
but mostly we drive spirited in the twisty country roads at a speed that reasonably we can correct quickly by braking or/even if we have to drive up an embankment..lol 219 is a speed that makes an airbag feel like a powderpuff right before the car turns to dust.

Interesting that the guys that live in that area aren't upset about this at all.

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176170

I can sort of see the desire to do something like this, but I would hope that common sense would take over at some point. There is a difference between a spirited drive and topping out an LP640. At 120mph you at least have half a chance of avoiding another car or controlling the car should something happen. At 220, there is no way you would be able to react quick enough.

cops are ALWAYS speeding. They have to give us tickets somehow right??

We all speed once in awhile. The problem is when people speed with no training or regard to other peoples safety.

I miss DC/MD cops. Out here BH police are CRAZYYYYY

It's not about the speeding either. It's about being stupid enough to post a video of you doing 4X the limit with a brief shot of your plate somewhere within the video, or by having a traceable email or IP address associated with the posted video. Someone smart said, "There's no such thing as anonimity on the internet."

I don't think there's anyone here that hasn't exceeded the speed limit at some point or other (Like every day) but to post a video of you doing triple digit speeds, then brag about it, then make it easy to find you doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it? Sooner or later some internet doofus is gonna send your post to the police, and sooner or later they are gonna take notice and start prosecuting these things.

    I'm just sayin'

Ok, guys. Thanks for the honest clarification. If I re-read the original few posts, I could have interpreted them either way. Also, there sometimes seems to be a lot of finger-pulling going on (in particular, I cite the 162 in a 45 thread). Maybe I'm also just a bit susceptible to being gullible at times. I try to take each and every post seriously. I've found that sarcasm and humour on the web (or in emails) can backfire or just not come across well. Anyway, glad to know we're brothers in arms!

Aside from all the points made already (there's no point in repeating any of them), I thought the video was well-done. The camera work, editing, storyline, narration, etc. were all above average and for those reasons made for an enjoyable watching experience.

yes i especially enjoyed the cinematgraphy in the scene where they are running the pt boat up the river and the guy is surfing behind and they start getting sniper shot by the VC..

I heard it will premier at CANNE next year..

So, are you sniping at me because I thought the video had above-average production standards when so many others are flawed in this regard? And why the Cannes reference? I wasn't trying to start an argument, but it seems that you are. Sheesh.

So, there is clear proof Luigi can do 70 mph with a 500cc engine. If the Lamborghini LP640 could match that level of performance (with its 6496cc engine) it would have a top speed of 909 mph. But, at "only" 219 mph, it is 690 mph below that benchmark.

So, this confirms, Luigi outperforms a Lamborghini LP640.
