My father has been working on a deal for this car for a while now:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-F355-GTS-HRE-Wheels-Tubi-Records-RARE-Xlnt_W0QQitemZ130175521623QQihZ003QQcategoryZ157044QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I do not know the details of the transaction - just got off the phone with my father.

SO - if you know the car and there is anything we should know....... :)

Nice snow storm coming so driving it home is not an option. I guess this means I'll be more of a regular around here now.

First stop - Motion Products to look over the car for us. It's nice to have a shop like that and "Zero to 60 Garage" just down the road.

When negotiating the price--take into account the last major was over 4 years ago... Gonna need one real soon...

That has been discussed. My father has spent a lot of time talking with Wayne at Motion Products and David Treichel at Zero to 60 Garage: http://www.zeroto60garage.com/
Between the two of them this car is in good hands.

Since the 355 will be going straight into storage for the winter - what should I do about the battery? I'm not sure a battery tender will be an option where it's going to be stored.

Meaning there is no AC outlet for a plug? That is all you will need for a battery tender..

It's an underground lot at a condo my father owns. It's petty much only used to store cars all year. Next to the 355 will be a 100% real 289 Cobra and another 355. There are not A/C outlets for each stall (at least I don't think there is).

If not, easy way to disconnect?

Couldn't be easier. Underneath a panel on the passenger side front bonnet is a battery disconnect switch. Just turn the knob in the proper direction and the power is cut.

Sweet!! I have a lot of things to learn before spring about this car. Any good reading material I should order? With the Porsche's I have the 9+ volume shop manuals for the two models I have. Anything like that for a 355?

I should do a search, getting ahead of myself here.

That is a beautiful car. Why did the bidding end so low? Are we in a depression or something. Motion Products? Is that the Corvette Motion????

I was able to find the 355 service manual in pdf form, I think I bought it from someone on here. You might try a search and see if you can dig up the contract from previous posts. It was several years ago so I can't remember the seller.

Which P-cars do you have? I have 3 of various vintages. Do I recognize your profile name from Rennlist?

Thanks for the info - I'll start looking.
    1979 - 928 Track car
1981 - 928 Supercharged test mule. Broke the 400rwhp barrier this past fall. This car started with 220 crank hp, lowest HP of the 928 family. 400 was at 5,000rpm, ran out of fuel beyond there so once I figure that out..... :)
1987 - 944S Hard to believe I've had this car for 11 years.
    Maybe.....:)

Ah, the 928 forum on Rennlist. I have a 1991 928 GT with 55K miles on the clock. Coral Red Metallic/Cashmere. :)
