    The way I made the engine cover it is not going to open so it was first installed on the car and then the "glass" was fitted. It was cut from a sheet of clear acetate and then the edges were painted flat black from underneath

    As I said before they are really hard to mask and besides they are so little that you can do it by brush. First apply the paint without worrying to mess up......

    That makes a lot of sense!

    let alone a Ford GT.

    a whole lot more of a headturner than anything else

    I noticed something small, so you might as well say im picky, but you have 2 pedals, yet you have a gated shifter. Might want to cut one up and put it on, or whatever you do.

    Edit: Never mind, you probably already know about it since you put adjustments will be made.

    I know what you are talking about. The way Maisto made the model two of the pedals are molded under the dash and the other one is molded in the interior tub molding. It makes sense as on the real car the brake and clutch pedals are top mounted and the gas pedal is bottom mounted. It is same way with Ferraris. Regarding the fact that when the model is all put together you barely see under there I found it made no sense to correct the detail on the Gas pedal.
    Good observation though.

    Now that the SE is done and send to its new owner I started on another project which involves a Gallardo Spider which is being "a little" tweaked. First I want to have a cleaner look, so it made sense to me since I find the headlights ugly, to start with modifying them first.

    After I kept just the outline of the "glass" then stuffed some aluminum tubing in the housings and then filled the rest with CA.

    my SE was done on a yellow car with no nearly that level of detail.
    I've actually been thinking that green would be a great color choice. I'm gonna see if i can replicate your handy work and make myself a green one.
    Then i plan on making an orange superleggara to go along with it.

    where's that update lucky? i want to see how things are coming with the spyder.
    I got some materials and will be starting on an ambitious project to convert a hotwheels murci into an LP640.
    I'll post my progress but it will be slow coming im sure. lots of pre planning to do before i make any cuts.

    I forgot to tell you that the mirrors were eliminated also and some cool rear view cameras will take their place. In carbon fiber of course.
    The windshield was cut, effectively turning the Spider into a barchetta. This is made in order to create one continuous line starting from the back of the doors and wrapping around. For this some side windows will also be custom made.

    The interior was first painted an almost-black blue color. Then some parts were masked off and a new lighter shade of blue can then be applied. This would create a nice two tone interior which would compliment perfectly the pearl white exterior. Later on some blue carbon fiber would compliment on its turn the two tone interior.
