I have tried this in the 575 section: No response 575 driver side view mirror removal? Some idiot with a shopping cart scratched my driverside mirror housing. No big deal, it just needs to be resprayed. My question is: how do I remove it so I can take it to the body shop? I removed the three allen screws underneath to find three more phillips head screws. No problem there, but where is the connector to unplug the wires? Last thing I want to do is start taking apart interior body panels. Does that mirror triangle located in the interior pop out? Anybody know? thanks in advance
you're gonna need to take the interior door panel off mate. its not difficult but can be awkward. the triangular section in the interior at the a-pillar does pop out, you'll need to remove it anyway. hope this helps. good luck.
I was afraid of that, thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll just wait for the next oil change. Last door panels I took off an old car are still in my garage somewhere
