has anyone heard of this issue with the 360? Upon accelaration, the vehicle pulls to the left at approximately a 45 degree angle. When gas pedal is released the vehicle straightens out, when gas is slightly pressed the car will go to the right. Originally, the authorized mechanic thought it was the suspension, then the tires (diameter size). Tires were changed and no suspension problems. There are aftermarket rims and tires on the vehicle. Thoughts?

Nothing like that from my ’02 F1 coupe. Actually, pretty much the opposite – nearly brutal acceleration available in all gears and always seems perfectly controlled and straight as a string. Occasionally I can feel the traction control taking over under poor traction conditions but that’s just a slight side-to-side wiggle. Mine are OEM wheels so maybe it’s the aftermarket wheels as you suggest.

    First check is an alignment.
Thrust angle can cause this issue.
Second, is that yes there are suspension adjustments that can be made if the alignment is incorrect.

This is the first I have heard of this problem. The only thing I notice is the ASR light comes on if I accelerate hard, but the car is always going straight.

The alignment has been checked multiple times from various shops. Suspension has been adjusted accordingly. I have had the aftermarket wheels for years and no problems until recently, when i got a flat tire. The wheels are not bent.

I had exactly the same problem on my 550.
Turned out there was a slow puncture in a tire which was constantly under inflated.

swap the rear left tyre with rear right and retry. if it still happens then do the same with the front. see if car pulls other way? have seen new tyres making cars pull under acceleration and there is no way of visually telling by just looking at them.

    obviously ensure pressures are ok.

You idea about swapping tires, reminded me of directional tires. Many new tires are made to turn only in one directions, maybe drdass's car has a tire directional problem. Easy to check, they should be labeled.

yeah, there will either be a directional arrow on the outside wall or simply a "outside" printed on them.

have you had any luck yet?

As suggested earlier, swap tires left to right and see if the problem changes direction. If so then it's a tire probelm. We had this issue on one of our 360 Challenge race cars. The mechanics went over the whole car with a fine tooth comb and changed every single suspension part including drive shafts and gearbox. In the end it was just a bad set of tires.
