thats funny jim ... I am sure at least ONE of them will start Sat morning, not sure of my schedule yet for Sat. The 330 GTC is my preferred touring car for a trip like the toy run. Comfortable for long distance, A/C or heat if needed, plenty of room for toys in the boot, and will blow away you guys in the 3x8 crowd on the straight aways
Don, Thanks for your response to my PM. I'm anxious to hear how the Ferrari badged Ferrari fares with low clearance. Please count me and a rider in. Brian S.
When is the last day to confirm that we can go or not? I'd like to go but won't know for certain until next Wednesday probably.
Sorry for the late RSVP, but I'm in after all. My car will be back from Shadetree on Monday. Diane can't make it, so I'll be flying solo. Looking forward to my first run with this crowd!!!
I am working on getting a few more people to attend. Do worrk about RSVPs I will print up about 10 extra maps. Did not get to run the route this weekend in the Ferrari, too much to do around the house. We do it this week. I will post an updated list tonight and a little extra that has been worked out.
Due to my mother's failing health I cannot attend this event, however I did buy toys & I'll need to relay them to someone before the event.
I just got notified that I am needed for a customer computer physical move and software restart, so I will have to come in to the office from 5:00 am to about 3:00 on the 8th. Just when I finally had a proper Ferrari to run. Sorry about that Don, James
Thanks all for your thought & prayers, this is becoming more difficult for me to handle in her weakened condition but has help from Vitas / Hospice Care. I'm going to leave the toys with Nancy & Todd since they live on my side of town. Have fun all & take lots of photos. Will
Will our thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mom. Thanks for always being a great supporter!!! Carolyn and everyone will take lots of pictures. Our best to your Mother!
OK. Today carolyn fired up the ol Ferrari badged Ferrari and ran the route. The roads are very good. In the Ferrari some of the "problematic" turns were not quite as bad. That is what a Ferrari is supposed to do-correct? However, we did run into one problem on a stretch so we changed the route yet again. No sense in putting our cars into jeopardy when that can be alleviated by merely making a turn to the right rather than the left. The route is now about 40 miles and it took us 1 hr and 15 minutes to run it at speed +, also the traffic was terrible. Not to mention getting stuck behind the Gradeall backhoe for 4 miles. We will be coming in on a busy street with several lights, so to facilitate the prompt arrival as a group at the fire station we have arranged for a Police Escort. Therefore at the end of the run we will accumulate in a convenient spot, wait for all to arrive and then proceed to the station accompanied by 2 motorcycle officers and two squad cars. This may be the only time you will get to run a red light in your car with no fear of reprisal! Har har har. It looks like we have about 28 confirmed, I hope there will be more. I am going to print up about 10 extra map sets-so if anyone knows of someone who is interested in a bit of fun on Saturday morning please tell them to show up. Remember my # is 469.235.5639 if you need to ask a question please call. I will probably make one more post before Sat. otherwise see you all at TMS about 9AM Sat and we will leave sharp at 9:30. AGAIN THE START LOCATION IS THE BLUE CLUBHOUSE IN FRONT OF THE WEST TERRACE TOWER AT TMS. THIS IS DIRECTLY NORTH OF THE EAST ENTRANCE TO TMS (LABONTE LANE) OFF OF 114. Garrick-on or in something Jim E. Steve F. Todd & Nancy C. Mackres Jano & Raffi Dave O. Brian S. Scott & Kim Nicola Phil C.-maybe Tim L. Brian R. Rob-if not duck hunting Manny & piloti Dave Judson J. Brent & Father-Lotus Frances- with garage pampered 360 Jimmy Ron R. Jonathan Sam Baker-if thawed out from last year Tillman-rock chip special Sally & Jon Esber Greg-maybe David-New Boxer owner Rob Swift-Lotus
