now that will be fun cant wait untl then. i noticed he was testing the superleggrea the last time we were there. well you know what one even if i cant spell it, did he decide if he wanted one.
I've got 1 word for you : PUBLICITY ! about REVENTON style : this car needs a wing , a big bad WING !
OMG you've opened another thread on this car, and all we can see are same posts from same people. You could paste this news and pics in "Reventon @Sant Agata" thread, this way, you are just flooding.
Very interesting dash instrumentation for this model. The styling leaves little doubt as to what it is even among the less knowledgeable in Italy at least. Will number 12 be the same color as number zero of 20? Fortunately Michigan does not require a front licence plate... CH
For the Cognoscenti the Nobel is no longer a badge of honor as witnessed by your list to which we should add Yasser Arafat.
Awesome shots! I got a chance to see the car for myself at the LA car show: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175821
Thanks for sharing. On the video itself, what the hell ****ty camera are they using? My 4 year old Kodak digi takes a better quality video than that.
I clearly am not getting it. How does a car manufacturure rebody a car and add 10 hp and then charge another 1 million dollars for it? I could almost see if it had 750hp and weighed a 1000Lbs less than a Murci but this is just rediculous. Why would anyone pay for this? How on earth did they even come up with this price. I would have said it was too much at 550K much less 1.4. If we look at past previous million dollar plus cars like the Bugatti or the F1 they clearly had something special that was unlike any other car in the past. The Reventon is not only not better than other cars in it's category but it's just a redo of a very good sportscar not even a supercar. I can just see Lambo laughing as people actually pay for this thing. Yep we got em. Great marketing job fellas. At least Bugatti and McLaren did it by engineering brilliance.
They did it simply because they could. Buyers didnt buy a Lambo or a fast car, they just bought exclusivity .
It's a showroom car, plain and simple. It's meant to be kept under lights as a showpiece. They will not be driven. They will be shown at special events and sit idly in showrooms. If I owned a dealership I would certainly clamor for one.
Old discussion. Go read the hundreds of hater-posts that polluted this board from whining girls who couldn't afford one regardless, when the car was first announced. OH NOES! HOW COULDS YOU LAMBORGHINININNI!!!!! CRY! I'm all for the factory doing as many limited editions, money grabs, exclusives, etc, as long as it helps them keep producing spectacular models like the Gallardo and Murcielago for the mainstream.
Did you buy one? If not your viewpoint is of the same value as the "whining girls who couldn't afford one..." As for me... I think there's a reason they only made 25 (or whatever the very low number was). If they made 399 they would have been selling at $475K. As others said. All that is being sold is exclusivity...
I believe the number is 20. And I like the idea of this car. Good for them, kind of supports the theory of "if you build it they will come", I think it is cool that there are Lamborghini people out there that are willing to go to this extreme. Lambos have always been about the impractical and far fetched. I am encouraged that the company still does this sort of thing with Germans at the helm. I would buy one if I could and park it right next to the Enzo (I would have one of those as well).
